New Meadowlands Stadium

http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/giants/2010/12/29/2010-12-29_new_meadowlands_stadium_isnt_winning_fans_over_so_far_with_expensive_prices_and_.html

When they built the new stadium and extorted fans for thousands and thousands in PSL's they said it was all for the fans. The fans demanded a better experience.

Some fans were dumb enough to pay the outrageous PSL's.

Now the first season is almost complete and are those fans totally psyched with their investment?

Nope!

Obama Screws State of CT

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2010-12-30/uconn-health-center-loses-out-on-100-million.html

Dodd puts 100 Million Dollars in a spending bill for the Uconn Medical Center. Obama takes the money and gives it to Ohio instead. F*ck CT.

Ohio is an important state in the upcoming presidential elections. CT votes democratic no matter how poorly Obama treats the state.

Dodd is retiring so Obama owes him nothing. Lieberman endorsed John McCain (in 08) so Obama could care less about screwing him.

So Obama sends the money where it will hopefully help him in two years. Kick CT in the azz. In the end they will still vote for Obama.

Not even a concern.

US Criticizing Pakistan over Human Rights.

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/12/30/world/asia/30disappear.html

"The concern is over a steady stream of accounts from human rights groups that Pakistan’s security services have rounded up thousands of people over the past decade, mainly in Baluchistan, a vast and restive province far from the fight with the Taliban, and are holding them incommunicado without charges."

How is this different from what the United States is doing at Gitmo? Round people up. Fly them half way around the world. Don't give them a lawyer. Don't charge them with a crime. Don't give them a day in court. Leave them there forever.

When the United States does it there is no issue. If Pakistan does it we have a problem.

Oil at it again....

Oil supplies are up….
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2010-12-29/u-s-oil-supplies-rose-3-06-million-barrels-last-week-api-report-shows.html

Yet prices are skyrocketing. Prices are up 20 cents in a month and up 40 cents on the year. A barrel of oil is selling at $91.00 a barrel. It was $70.00 a few months back.

NYC Snow Issues....

http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/story?section=news/politics&id=7796039

In November Bloomberg cut the budget eliminating thousands of jobs. Yayyyyy...........

That included -

"Department of Sanitation:
Eliminate 200 supervisor posts and redeploy to frontline sanitation worker positions."

Today nobody is cleaning up the snow days after the blizzard. Everyone is pissed off.

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20026740-503544.html

It is easy to say cut the budget. It is easy to say shrink the government. Just cut, cut, cut ,cut cut. Sounds like good stuff until you can't drive across the city. Sounds like good stuff until you call 911 and nobody shows up for 6 hours.

Then everyone wants to know why. Why is easy. You laid off thousands of workers. That is why.

Police Deaths up 37%‏

6 months ago the Supreme Court overruled all gun bans.

The results - Lots of dead cops.
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2010-12-28/police-fatalities-jump-37-percent-in-2010.html

According to the NRA guns make people safer. Hard to understand why police fatalities would be up 37% Maybe the NRA is full of sh*t.

Quality of the Global Workforce - See Dreamliner‏

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/businesstechnology/2013713745_dreamliner19.html

"A top Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) official 10 days ago warned Boeing that without further proof of the plane's reliability, it won't be certified to fly the long intercontinental routes"

on the production side, one veteran employee on the 787 said he's witnessing "the perfect storm of manufacturing hell." (He meant Outsourcing hell).
To deliver the 20 Dreamliners built since the six flight-test planes, mechanics will have to complete more than 100,000 tasks. (Outsourcing streamlining the process)

the amount of stuff we are finding is horrible.

Boeing's cost overruns at a staggering $12 billion or more.

The company aimed to reduce the cost and risk by outsourcing an unprecedented share of manufacturing and design work to partners around the globe. (How is that working out for you?)

Horizontal tails poorly built by Alenia in Italy are still being reworked. With the workmanship on the tails varying from one plane to the next, mechanics have to painstakingly customize the fixes plane by plane. (Idiots!!!!!)

Where are the Jobs?

"Harvard Business School Dean Nitin Nohria worries that the trend could be dangerous." Gee you think????? Thank God we have the geniuses at Harvard to figure this stuff out.

Other economists, like Columbia University's Sachs, say multinational corporations have no choice, especially now that the quality of the global work force has improved. Ask Boeing about the quality of the global workforce. They will tell you all about it. That quality is costing them 12 BILLION Dollars and counting. Jackazzes.

The Rich Get Even Richer.....

http://money.cnn.com/2010/12/23/pf/rich_wealth_gap/index.htm?hpt=T2

The rich get richer and richer and richer and richer……

That is why it was so critical for Obama to give the rich all their tax cuts. Heaven forbid those rich A-holes have to pay any taxes. Not when they can put it all in their pockets.

Don’t worry they won’t suffer when Social Security is cut. Or when Medicare is cut. Or when Medicaid is cut. Or when the States go broke. Won’t be their issue.

According to the Republicans (and now Democrats) it is the rich who create all the jobs.

OK….So where are all the jobs? Clearly the rich have plenty of money. More then ever before.

Still unemployment is 9.8%. When is Barack going to explain this phenomenon? He has fallen all over himself to make sure the status quo is maintained. Even though the status quo is failure.
Well Merry Christmas to all you poor bastards. Too bad you can’t afford to buy any representation in Washington. Suckers!

Huckabee Is A Fool

http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/europe/12/22/wikileaks.assange/index.html?hpt=T2

Huckabee went as far as to say that "I think anything less than execution is too kind a penalty."

Yes Mr. Huckabee is all about free and open government except when you make it free and open. Then whoever says anything should be executed. Just like in Communist China.

That is humerous considering Huckabee is the same guy who pardoned a criminal serving 95 years in prision. The guy then turned around and murdered 4 innocent police officers who were sitting drinking coffee in a Starbucks. That animal gets a second chance from kind understanding Huckabee. Assange who lets you know things aren’t going well in Afganistan (wow shocking revelation) needs to be executed.

Tax Cuts for the Rich signed sealed and delivered.‏

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/12/16/AR2010121606672.html?wprss=rss_print

Oh look after all the charades. And all the Theatrics. And all the grandstanding about how Democrats were all against the Bush Tax Cuts (Wink wink).

After all the stomping of the feet and the holding of the breath and the temper tantrums. In the end the Democrats agree the top 1% should get their tax cuts no matter what. To heck with the deficit.

After 9 years of Democrats pointing the finger at George Bush because his tax cuts ruined the economy and exploded the deficit. They can now all shut the f*ck up. They are all now equally responsible for the continued decline of our economy. Bush is now officially off the hook. Enjoy your retirement George it is now Obama's fault. The Obama Tax cuts for the Rich.

Another CEO summit‏

http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20101214/BIZ/12150351/1076/BIZ/Obama-to-seek-advice-of-execs

Everyone acts like Obama's meeting with a who's who of corporate CEO's is some new thing. Obama meets with these same CEO's every other week. He just went to India with most of them. He has had them over the White House for the India state dinner. He had the same business summit last year which created zero jobs. This is what he does. Everyone is acting like corporate America doesn't like Obama. That is nonsense. Corporate America loves Obama. It is a giant love fest. Obama loves them. They finance him. All the jobs continue heading overseas. It is the way it works.

Bomb House

http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE6B85N120101210

The most interesting part of this story is the guy responsible is a 54 year old unemployed Software Engineer.

What company did he work for? Most software engineers don't fill their homes with explosives.

Then again unemployed software engineers who can't find a job, who can't pay their bills. Who see there are no jobs this side of Bangalore might be more desperate.

I bet when he was employed he didn't have a house full of explosives. So while in England they take to the streets (openly displaying anger) you have to wonder how many desperate unemployed people in this country are getting ready to snap.

Angry British

http://www.aolnews.com/world/article/will-heads-roll-over-protesters-attack-on-prince-charles-car/19755044

British attacking the royals. Why are the British mad.... because the government is cutting everything and raising fees on everything. In this case it is University Tuition and Students are pissed.

The British have done the same idiotic things the US has done.

They also outsourced everything to India and China as we do giving up millions of jobs.

http://www.financialexpress.com/news/outsourcing-to-india-raises-uk-storm/595988/

http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2010/dec/09/uk-trade-gap-widens

The results for England is the same as in the US.

No jobs = No taxes = Gov deficit = failed economy.

The difference is the English get pissed and make their feelings known. The US we just take it like a punching bag.

Rolaids Recall

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/12/10/business/10recall.html?partner=rss&emc=rss

Another week and another Johnson and Johnson product recall. Nobody should be surprised at this point. They are pretty much a monthly occurrence.

This time it is "reports of consumers finding metal and wood particles in the products."

I must have missed the clinical study where metal and wood particles help heartburn. How is it even possible that metal and wood could get into Rolaids.

"The foreign particles found in the Rolaids were potentially introduced during production at a third-party manufacturer" (China)

"McNeil declined to identify the manufacturer." Of course they did. The last thing they are going to tell you is the active ingredients come from Communist Red China. But you can be sure they do.

It is funny that J&J is under all this scrutiny for over a year of recalls and yet products are still leaving the company contaminated. Only when consumers point it out is anything done. Where is the FDA?

The way things have gone people can be sure If J&J makes it it is probably contaminated.

Hope all their saving from outsourcing makes up for the pounding their once proud reputation is taking.

Yes it is another outsourcing success story to be studied in business schools for years to come.

Public Option all over again.

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20024891-503544.html?tag=stack

Obama says "this is the public option debate all over again,"

Obama comparing his latest flip flop of taxes to his previous flip flop on a public option in health care. What a smart political strategy. Remind everyone of the last time you lied.

You remember the public option that Obama promised everyone over and over again.

When others say no you can't Obama says "Yes we can". "Hope" and "change". "It is a new day".

So everyone got on board but when it was time to deliver Obama said Sorry a public option is too expensive.

870 Billion over 10 years was just too much money.
http://articles.cnn.com/2009-10-21/politics/health.care.cbo_1_public-option-cbo-house-democrats?_s=PM:POLITICS
But today when Obama agrees to give the richest 1% their tax cuts at a cost of 900 Billion over two years. Some how that is not too expensive at all. Just tack it onto the National debt and our kids can pay for it later.

After all it is the top 1% that create all the jobs. Give Steve Ballmer a tax cut and he will be sure to hire more people in India.

Then in 6 months we can all discuss why the unemployment rate isn't coming down. Why the National Debt keeps going up.

I am sure the nations top economists will be working on the mystery.

Obama now less popular then Bush‏

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20024865-503544.html

When you follow all the same policies it stands to reason you would end up in the same place.

Unpopular.

Obama - The Greatest Republican ever.

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/12/08/us/politics/08cong.html

"The package would cost about $900 billion over the next two years, to be financed entirely by adding to the national debt."

A week ago Obama was freezing federal workers wages because he was sooooo concerned about the deficit. A week ago Republicans refused to extend unemployment insurance because they were sooooo concerned about the deficit.

Today that is all out the window. Today both Republicans and Obama (who is a Republican) are getting ready to start the printing presses to ensure the top 1% get all their tax cuts. Not just the Bush cuts but new cuts as well. Estate tax breaks for the first 5 Million dollars of an estate. You know.... to help the middle class. This is all being done to help the middle class. Thanks Mr Obama. It is good to know my 5 million dollar estate will be protected.

http://www.csmonitor.com/Business/Tax-VOX/2010/1207/Estate-tax-deal-worst-part-of-a-bad-tax-compromise

"The real gift here is the proposal to let the richest of the rich pass on estates to their heirs at an even lower rate than in 2009. Obama now gets to explain to GS-3 federal clerks why they get to take one for the team while those estates of up to $10 million pay no tax and estates of $100 million pass on nearly $70 million free and clear."

Yes at the end of the day no matter what it takes........ No matter how much it costs the rich will always be well cared for.

We have the best government the rich can buy.

Boeing's Maddening Insanity....

http://www.talkingtarmac.com/techno/tcs-boeing.asp
2006 Boeing outsourced software development to India for the Dreamliner. They do this to entice Air India to buy Boeing planes.

http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2010-12-04/business/ct-biz-1205-787-delay-20101204_1_dreamliner-teal-group-richard-aboulafia/3

2010 The Dreamliner has a fire and software maybe a big issue. (Software developed in India).

"Analysts are troubled that the fire triggered an apparent software malfunction that also caused the 787's unaffected power systems to shut down.

"Analysts are trying to determine whether other software systems also failed to perform as designed during the incident"

http://www.domain-b.com/aero/aero_general/20101206_package.html

So now because of never ending delays (which are partially caused by outsourcing to India) India is demanding Boeing pay 840 Million dollars in penalties for non delivery.

So India f*cked up the software and demand Boeing pay as a result of their incompetence.

Am I the only one who sees this as insanity?

http://abcnews.go.com/Business/wireStory?id=12318449&page=1

6 months ago the Pratt employees went to court to save the Cheshire and East Hartford facilities and they won. Today they agree to close the plants anyway and walk the gang plank. What was the point of suing if they are just going to cave.

So the plant will be closed and the work will be sent to Singapore and Japan. What a big win for the employees. Some short sighted employees will grab 20 grand thinking they are the big winners. Since there are only 3 companies worldwide that build jet engines. And none of them want to hire Americans. The employees are going to quickly learn the reality as they grab the Hartford Courant want ads and try to find the ads seeking Jet Engine mechanics. Quickly they will realize their working days are over.

Congrats you are the big winners. Idiots!

Hypocrisy never dies

The Federal Reserve pumped trillions of dollars into all manner of banks, investment firms and major companies during the financial crisis

The data show that major banks were heavily dependent on the Fed programs for funding during the darkest days of the financial crisis

programs to support the market for corporate lending known as commercial paper benefited not only top U.S. financial institutions such as Bank of America and Citigroup, but also was used by iconic American companies such as General Electric (Who is currently investing in China)and Harley-Davidson. (Who is currently building a plant in India).

"The changes we're making are based on the lessons we have learned," Lessons he learned again and again. Drilling was banned initially because of spills. Obama needed to learn those lessons a second time because he is slow.

Fantastic.... the government saved a million jobs by towing GM out of the ditch. The Center for Automotive research did a study and everything is peaches and cream.

I want to read the study of how many jobs would have been saved if GM didn't move lots of their plants to Mexico and China in the first place.

I will be anxiously awaiting those findings.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20101201/sc_afp/usmilitaryweaponsafghanistan " The gun's stats are formidable: it fires 25mm air-bursting shells up to 2,300 feet (700 meters), well past the range of most rifles used by today's soldiers, and programs them to explode at a precise distance, allowing troops to neutralize insurgents hiding behind walls, rocks or trenches or inside buildings"

"an enemy combatant pops up from behind a wall to fire at US troops and then ducks behind it, an XM25 gunner can aim the laser range finder at the top of the wall, then program the shell to detonate one meter beyond it, showering lethal fragmentation where the insurgent is seeking cover."

Extended Unemployment Benefits ending‏

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/40447966/ns/politics-more_politics/

"Congressional opponents of extending the benefits beyond this month say fiscal responsibility should come first. Republicans in the House and Senate, along with a handful of conservative Democrats, say they're open to extending benefits, but not if it means adding to the $13.8 trillion national debt.

But extending tax cuts for the rich does not need to be paid for. If giving rich people their tax cuts increase the deficit that is just fine.

If not extending unemployment insurance means middle class families end up in the homeless shelter that is OK with Republicans.
"We're going to have to have a new conversation with the people who are still suffering, about the potentially drastic changes they're going to have to make to stay out of the homeless shelter,"
http://thehill.com/homenews/senate/131101-mcconnell-blasts-dems-for-playing-politics-with-taxes-ahead-of-white-house-meeting-
But when it comes to extending tax cuts to the rich the Republicans will do what needs to be done. It is all about priorities. Rich people and business comes first. Everyone else can get in line at the soup kitchen.

War Games...That will show them‏

http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/world/us-south-korea-go-to-war-games/story-e6frg6so-1225960407193

Oooooohhhhh war games. That will really show the North what is up. Nothing sends a weaker message then Navy ships doing circles around each other.

"The drills are a more measured response than the retaliatory attack Mr Lee initially threatened" (Weak)

Can you image 1941 after Pearl Harbor was bombed if the US response was to send out Navy ships to conduct war games. I mean really. We have become such p*ssy's.

"it was "difficult to imagine" a more dangerous situation and the risk of a war that could pit the US and Chinese forces against one another could not be discounted."

The US vs China....There is no chance. If the US is fighting China who is going to make Iphones? Who is going to make everything? Walmart will never tolerate empty stores a month before Christmas. There is no way Corporate America will allow war with China. Obama will allow the South to be overrun before he ever messes with Corporate America. The North can lob shells into the south until the Cows come home and Obama will sit in the oval office spinning in his chair sucking his thumb.

Capitalism trumps all. Sorry South Korea you are going to have to suck it up and take it. Corporate America is too entrenched in Communist Red China to care about your petty problems.

So war games it is. Take that North Korea.

Translation – Go F*ck yourself…..

Derek Jeter – The Captain of the Yankees. The face of the franchise. Icon of New York. One of the top 5 players ever to wear the pinstrips. He is the franchise leader in hits. He will surpass 3000 hits next year. He has helped win 5 World Championships.

His popularity never waivers. http://www.topsellingjerseys.com/2010/05/18/derek-jeter-remains-mlbs-best-selling-jersey/

So how do the Yankees treat him? Hey Derek.... drop dead.

When it was AROD the Yankees opened the vault and started handing him stacks of money. No problem. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3153171

You know AROD, the guy who said he didn’t cheat with Steroids but actually did.

For him no amount of money was too much. But for Derek Jeter, the guy who has meant everything to this franchise for 15 years. The guy who is never in trouble. The guy who is respected by all. For him he gets a kick in the azz. The same kick in the azz Joe Torre got after he won 4 championships.

Being played the fool by North Korea‏

http://abcnews.go.com/International/story?id=6852603&page=1

June 2008 North Korea pretends to end it's Nuclear program to much worldwide fanfare. They put on the show so President Bush would lift sanctions. They also wanted to be removed from the list of countries who support terrorism.

They were removed. http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=newsarchive&sid=ao3FjKHi2p8s

Nov 2010 the US is caught without a clue (again) as to what is going on. Surprise... North Korea still has an active Nuclear program and it is much more sophisticated then anyone thought possible.

North Korea sees there are no consequences to any of their actions so today they shelled a South Korean Island. Why not....The world will again be outraged. The response again will be zero.
http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE6AM48720101123

I guess sinking a ship and shelling a town are not considered terrorism. If they are maybe North Korea should be readded to the list. I think they have qualified.

Chrysler / Maserati SUV‏

How can Chrysler turn itself around...Let me think....Let me think....Hmmmmmm.....

How about make a Jeep Cherokee and pretend it is a Maserati? That is a fantastic idea. That is what the world is clamoring for. A Maserati SUV.

"Maserari models start at $118,000, well above the Grand Cherokee's starting price of $30,000."

I am sure unemployed Americans will jump to pay $118,000 for a souped up Grand Cherokee. That makes total sense. Since they haven't flocked to buy them at $30,000 maybe the problem is they need to be more expensive. The Hummer showed everyone the insatiable appetite for overpriced SUV's. Remember the Hummer. Oh wait they don't make them anymore.

Cascading Failures‏....

http://www.salon.com/wires/allwires/2010/11/18/D9JIJ12G0_us_superjumbo_woes_cockpit_drama/index.html

pilots were inundated with 54 computer messages alerting them of system failures or impending failures.

With only about eight to 10 messages able to fit on a computer screen, pilots watched as screens filled only to be replaced by new screenfuls of warnings.

"There is probably a one in 100 million chance to have all that go wrong."
half of the 80 Rolls-Royce engines that power A380s, the world's largest jetliners, may need to be replaced (Why do they need to replace all the engines if it is a 1 in hundred million chance)

the picture emerging of the pilots' struggle to save the plane and its passengers has also raised questions about facets of the plane's design (Outsoursed to India)

Airplanes are supposed to be designed with redundancy so that if one part or system fails, there is still another to perform the same function. That didn't always happen in this case (They haven’t taught redundency in the slums of Calcutta)

The shrapnel sliced electric cables and hydraulic lines in the wing. The wing's forward spar -- one of the beams that attaches the wing to the plane -- was damaged as well. And the wing's two fuel tanks were punctured. As fuel leaked out, a growing imbalance was created between the left and right sides of the plane,

The electrical power problems prevented pilots from pumping fuel from tanks in the tail to tanks farther forward, he said. Gradually the plane became tail heavy and the aircraft's center of gravity began to moveIf a plane gets too far out of balance, it will stall and crash.

China Hijacks The Internet

http://www.informationweek.com/news/healthcare/leadership/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=228300097&cid=RSSfeed_IWK_All
state-owned Chinese telecommunications firm "hijacked" Internet traffic in April, affecting traffic from U.S. government domains and raising serious implications for Internet safety.

traffic going to and from U.S. .gov and .mil sites, including sites for the Senate, the four main armed services branches, the office of the Secretary of Defense, NASA, the Department of Commerce, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and others.

Commercial websites for large technology companies -- including Dell, Yahoo, Microsoft and IBM -- also were re-routed during the diversion period.

Commission concluded that China is probably spying on the U.S. government to gain advantage for any potential cyber conflicts. (Probably? You think....)

Our friends the Communist Chinese. With friends like them who needs enemies?

Walmart Struggling...

Walmart goes out of their way to create US unemployment. They demand their suppliers manufacture in Red China. Most of the goods they sell are from Communist China. Then they scratch their heads and wonder why sales are down. They wonder why less unemployed shoppers are showing up.

“We still see what we call the paycheck cycle, where you see the spikes in comps the day or two after a payroll check,” or from food-stamp programs, he said. “It’s every bit as pronounced as we’ve seen it.” (Thanks to Walmart)

Maybe if Walmart insisted on products being made in the USA they wouldn't have to wonder why unemployed Americans are avoiding their stores.

Lead in Reusable bags‏

http://www.usatoday.com/money/industries/environment/2010-11-15-toxicbags15_st_N.htm?csp=hf

"Federal agencies need to put a ban in place for reusable bags that have lead in them," Schumer said

"Any situation where lead bags are coming into contact with the food being purchased by Americans needs to be immediately investigated and resolved."

Retailers already are taking action. Publix Super Markets and Winn-Dixie are asking suppliers to make reusable bags with less lead"

How about NO lead?

"concerns also have been raised about E. coli contamination in bags. "Lead may be the least of concerns," Horst says. "If you put a hunk of meat in one of these bags and it drips, God knows what's going on in your reusable bag."

Outsource to China. Teach them all your trade secrets. Then watch them steal all your ideas and club you over the head while keeping 100% of the money for themselves.

"But China isn't content just to buy sophisticated gear for the C919; the government has required foreign suppliers to set up joint ventures with Chinese companies."

"After sharing technology and expertise to help China develop a network of gleaming bullet trains, Japanese and European rail firms now find themselves competing with their former Chinese joint-venture partners for new contracts, both inside and outside China."

Short term gain for long term extinction.

"the Chinese government has no intention of ceding all of that future business to foreign aircraft makers." (Protectionism)

Grounded For Weeks

http://www.smh.com.au/travel/travel-news/qantas-grounding-could-last-for-weeks-20101111-17pg7.html?from=smh_sb

Initially the A380's were to be grounded for 72 hours. Now it is grounded for weeks. What they are finding must be real bad. Those Indian engineers must have really screwed up these engines.

They are talking about an ''oil fire'' . An oil fire won't cause the engine to explode. What will cause the engine to explode is an oil leak leading to no oil in the engine. That will make the engine blow apart real quick. Common sense dictates there should be an oil light alerting the pilot to low oil pressure. My Honda Civic has an oil light. It would be assumed that the Indian engineers knew enough to put an indicator on hundreds of millions of dollars worth of airplane. Maybe I assume too much because the engine blew up and nobody knew nothing before engine parts rained down over the country side.

The solution now is ''repetitive inspections'' . Keep staring at it to see if it is about to explode. Kinda hard to do at 35 thousand feet. That is probably why leaving these planes on the ground is the wisest course of action.

Obama wants you to pay for the Deficit.

http://www.businessweek.com/news/2010-11-11/deficit-plan-pairs-3-8-trillion-with-tough-politics.html

The rich can keep their tax cuts. No problem.....

But the deficit needs to be paid. You know.... the deficit that exists because Obama spent 800 Billion on stimulus so his CEO buddy's could hire more people in India and China.

The Deficit that exists because Bush and Obama bailed out Mega Super Duper Rich Goldman Sachs, and AIG, and GM, and Bank of America and on and on.

To pay for all this Obama wants to put his hand right into your checking account. You know every April when you get a big tax refund because you can deduct your mortgage interest. No more. Obama wants to keep that money for himself. Gas tax would go up. Retirement age would go up. Social Security Benefits would be cut. Medicare would be cut. No more deductions for having kids.

But if it is any consolation corporate tax rates would be cut from 35% to 26%. GE, and Microsoft (and all the rest) would get giants breaks for continuing to send jobs overseas.

You and I would be stuck paying for it all.

When Obama says "Yes we can" what he means is "Yes we can make you pay for it all".

Obama says the Rich can keep their tax cuts

Exactly as I said would happen way back on Sept 24th.

For 9 years the Democrats b*tched about tax cuts for the rich. When they had all the power (including a SUPER majority in the Senate) they did nothing to get rid of them. Now they can't get rid of them (exactly how they want it) so they will throw their hands in the air and say "oh well" (chuckle, chuckle).

All Dreamliners Grounded

Smoke in the cabin. Emergency Landing. The entire fleet grounded. What else would you expect from the Outsourced Dreamliner. Don't all new planes fill the cabin with smoke. I am surprised Boeing even concedes it is an issue.

http://content.usatoday.com/communities/ondeadline/post/2010/11/boeing-grounds-dreamliner-test-fleet-after-smoke-forces-emergency-landing/1

http://edition.cnn.com/2010/TRAVEL/11/10/boeing.dreamliner.test/?hpt=T2
"Until we understand the event, we're not going to schedule any new flights," said Lori Gunter, a Boeing spokeswoman. What is there to understand? Boeing laid off all their competent American workers and hired a bunch of incompetent foreign workers. It has been down hill ever since. Just as I predicted.

"It's too early to tell what may have gone wrong." No it's not. Not too early at all. I have been saying it for 5 years. Give me a call I would be happy to explain it to you again. It is real simple to understand.

Generally I would say more delays would be a problem for Boeing. But when you are already 3 years behind schedule I guess who really cares.

So far they have had to reinforce the wings. Reinforce the tail section. The brakes overheated. The engine exploded on the test bed. Now there is an onboard fire somewhere.

Any passenger who goes to the airport and sees a Dreamliner sitting at the gate should head to the service counter and demand a different flight. Pound your fists on the counter until you get what you want. Whatever you do don't get on this flying death trap.

Qantas explosion far worse then first reported....

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/ipad-application/qantas-flyers-lucky-to-be-alive/story-fn6bfmgc-1225950382721

"explosion that sent pieces of hot metal through the left wing started a fuel leak and damaged vital flight systems needed to slow the big jet"

"only one of the jet's four engines could be relied on for reverse thrust."

"only half the jet's spoilers -- the hinged flaps on the wing that pop up to create drag on landing -- could be deployed."

"the jet, still carrying more than 80 tonnes of flammable kerosene, used up most of the 4km runway to come to a stop, blowing four tyres"

"After landing, another engine would not respond to controls and remained idling as fuel leaked on to the tarmac."

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1327632/More-planes-grounded-Qantas-finds-leaked-oil-3-Rolls-Royce-jet-engines.html?ito=feeds-newsxml

Engineers found oil ‘where oil should not be’,"We’ve found slight anomalies." They are only slight when you are on the ground. They are not slight at 35 thousand feet.

"Design issues rather than poor maintenance were the most likely cause" That should read India's design issues are likely the cause.

"Rolls-Royce said it had ‘made progress in understanding the cause of the engine failure’." The cause was outsourcing to India. The result was 433 people could have died. That is OK though. As long as money was saved somewhere along the line it is acceptable.

The problem with this country is nobody remembers anything. If they did they would remember that in 1998 President Clinton placed sanctions on India for testing Nuclear Weapons. India was considered a problem... A Pariah who must be contained.

Fast forward to 2010 and Obama can't stop smooching India's azz. Smooch, smooch, smooch......Mmmmmm India's butt smells fantastic.

Then he wants to put them as a permanent member of the security council. Like it is not hard enough getting anything done with the five current members. Lets add another voice. A voice that was considered a problem just 12 years ago. http://edition.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/11/08/obama.india.address/

So lets recap. Give them all our jobs. Give them all our technology. Give them power at the security counsel.

And Obama wonders why the electorate hates him . Really can't figure it out. Harvard Grad.... dumb as a box of rocks.

Rolls Royce

http://edition.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/asiapcf/11/05/australia.qantas.incident/?hpt=T1

Yesterday I said Qantas engine failure was due to outsourcing maintenance. Today it looks like it was a design failure. So it was actually outsourcing design and engineering (which Rolls Royce has done plenty of).

http://outsourceportfolio.com/rollsroyce-selects-tcs-expand-engineering-services-footprint-india/

http://www.defenseindustrydaily.com/india-aerospace-outsourcing-rolls-sets-up-a-subsidiary-01538/

We can all see the results.

This is the second uncontained failure of a Rolls Royce engine. You may remember the Rolls Royce Dreamliner engine blew up in a test.

http://articles.latimes.com/2010/aug/27/business/la-fi-boeing-20100827

Engines should never blow up. Rolls Royce's outsourced engineers are making a habit of it happening. That is not good.

Qantas outsources their maintaince. What a surprise.

"engineers yesterday warned that "danger signs" were now emerging from Qantas's decision to outsource maintenance"

"since Qantas sent engineering and safety checks to countries such as Singapore, the national carrier's once near-perfect safety record had suffered."

"the damaged Qantas A380 recently underwent its first heavy maintenance stop in Germany with Lufthansa Technik"

"heavy maintenance check - a root- and-branch investigation in which the aircraft is pulled to pieces and reassembled over a period of weeks - would be the first focus of investigators."
"He said the incident highlighted concerns about the airline's maintenance."

As long as it is cheap that is all these companies care about. If peoples lives are in danger that is perfectly fine. As long it saves some money up front. Rolling the dice with peoples lives is not a problem for corporations in 2010. Roll em.....

"The president opened his post-election news conference by saying voters who felt frustrated by the sluggish pace of economic recovery had dictated the Republican takeover in the House"

So voters are frustrated that there are no jobs. It is nice that the President understands that. It is an insult that his next move is to load corporate America into jumbo jets and head off to India to give away even more jobs.

Lipitor has the exact same problem Tylenol has. They try and dance around what the real issue is. They try to make it seem like the issue is the bottles. The issue is not the bottles. The issue is the active ingredients in the medicine that makes the bottles smell. The active ingredients have been tainted by fungicide. The active ingredients are probably from China but no news organization has the intelligence to report the real story.

This is what happens when companies don't have any control over their supply chains. They just have to sit back and watch their reputation get hammered as they are unable to fix their problems. Problems which originate a world away.

800 hotel rooms. (He could take all of Congress and he wouldn't need 800 hotel rooms. But why take congress when he can take corporate America)

a convoy of 45 cars, and two jumbo jets to fly in the full party.

He needs all this because he is bringing corporate America with him.

Everyone Is Blaming China Now.......

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/10/28/AR2010102803256.html?hpid=topnews

Now it is fashionable to blame China.......

Now that 10% of the economy is unemployed everyone jumps on the bandwagon. I was doing it when only 3% of the economy was unemployed. It was obvious to me where it was going to lead. Everyone else had their rose colored glasses on and didn't want to hear it. Now the pain is so loud people have no choice but to hear it. Still the problem isn't going away.......

Everyone is missing the point that Corporate America is the real guilty party. They are the ones who set up this colossal failure. Of course once everything fell apart now they have nothing to say.

"In addition, corporate America, which used to be China's great booster in the once annual congressional debates on China's most-favored nation trading status, has effectively gone silent on the benefits of a strong relationship with Beijing. The reason is that many corporate leaders no longer believe that China, which is aggressively pursuing policies to acquire Western technology and compete with Western firms, is the land of opportunity that it once was. This article paints a man that notices everything around him. Notices things that other people don't notice. Yet he was blind to the fact that if he made a one hour special out of his 10 second announcement everyone would hate him. He doesn't seem too aware to me.

For me he showed his true colors a year earlier when he lost in the Eastern Conference Finals (to the Magic) and stormed off the court in a huff without shaking hands.

He showed his true colors when he danced mockingly in front of the Chicago Bulls bench.

Lebron is a spoiled brat. He has always been placed on a pedestal (King James). He could get away with the attitude when he was the hometown boy making good. Once he gave that up there really isn't much to cheer about.

China now bullying the USA

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/10/20/business/global/20rare.html?src=busln

China is flexing it's muscle trying to intimidate the USA. Last week they successfully intimidated Japan doing the same thing. It will work too because we are led by a bunch of cowards.

What we should do is refuse all imports from China. Turn away every Chinese shipping container trying to dock in the USA.

They can keep it all and we will make our own.

"The inquiry includes whether China’s steady reductions in rare earth export quotas since 2005, along with steep export taxes (Tariffs) on rare earths, are illegal attempts to force multinational companies to produce more of their high-technology goods in China."

O'Donnell Making Republicans Proud.

"Where in the Constitution is the separation of church and state?" O'Donnell asked him.

When Coons responded that the First Amendment bars Congress from making laws respecting the establishment of religion,
O'Donnell asked: "You're telling me that's in the First Amendment?"

Republicans, so stupid they are scary........

Tylenol Recalls over and over and over........

"Tylenol caplets are again being recalled by Johnson & Johnson after some consumers were sickened by ingesting the pills or smelling a musty or moldy odor on the bottles."

"This makes 13 recalls in barely a year by the health care giant"

You can't make this stuff up.

New Nike deal with NFL. $$$$$

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5677387

"Terms were not disclosed for any of the deals"

What a shocker. They don't want to disclose the terms because they don't want the players to know how much money they are raking in. They need to plead poverty to the players while they insist the players need to make less money.

Meanwhile they sign deal after deal after deal......

"New Era will handle on-field headwear. Under Armour will remain the sponsor of the NFL combine in Indianapolis. Gill will manufacture fan gear, as will VF. Outerstuff will continue as the league's youth apparel provider, and '47 Brand will do headwear for fans."

Money... money.... money... money..... money.....Everywhere you look there are piles of money. Oh I mean we are real poor. Please take less money players...hehehehehe.

Deregulation + Downsizing + Outsourcing to India = A Giant Cluster F*ck.

These big banks got rid of tons of American employees.

They sent tons of jobs to India.
http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/90267/Bank_of_America_creates_Indian_outsourcing_subsidiary

They got rid of all common sense rules.

The result is nobody knows nothing about nothing. In the banking world that is fine. In the Judicial world that is a big problem. The ensuing carnage should be entertaining.

The good news is when you lose your job (and can't pay your mortgage) they may not be able to foreclosure on you. Yippee!

Caterpillar

Why are there no jobs?

Why are there no jobs?

Everyone wants to know why there are no jobs.......

Go ask Caterpillar

Feb 2009 Caterpillar promised President Obama if they passed the stimulus they would hire people. Well the Stimulus passed. Caterpillar took their money and headed off to China anyway. Thanks for the money....Now go f*ck yourself.

And still everyone wonders why there are no jobs. Just read the newspaper and the answer couldn't be more clear.

Phil Gramms Giant Balls........

Phil Gramm lecturing us on the current recession and how it relates to the Great Depression.

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704116004575522351201224286.html?mod=googlenews_wsj

Phil Gramm the man personally responsible for the current financial meltdown. The man who sponsored the bill to deregulate the banks in 1999. The man who unleashed credit default swaps. The man responsible for removing the safeguards that were put in place after the great depression. Safe guards that prevented a repeat for 60 years until his legislation was signed into law.

Foreclosure Phil as he has been called. http://motherjones.com/politics/2008/05/foreclosure-phil

Now the same guy who created the disaster before running away to go run a foreign bank (UBS). He now has the audacity to talk about how the Democrats are screwing up the recovery.

You would think he would be off hiding behind a rock somewhere but as we see Republicans have balls that would make an elephant blush.

In 2008 when Bush was president and McCain wanted to be president Phil Gramm denied there was any economic problem at all. It was a "mental recession". We were all a "Nation of Whiners". http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/11/us/politics/11campaign.html

Now that the Democrats are in charge Phil sees the economy is actually really bad and blames the democrats. If he wants to pass blame he should look in the mirror.

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

The Angry Rich....

Here is the reality. The rich get richer and richer while the poor get poorer and poorer. So the rich can shut the f*ck up.
http://www.ibtimes.com/articles/66809/20100929/income-gap-census-bureau-poverty.htm

For 8 years of the Bush administration wealth was redistributed to the wealthiest 1%. This occurred as the economy for everyone else fell apart. Now it needs to be adjusted back. Redistribution is only a problem for the rich when it isn't funneling to them.

They act like if the tax rate goes from 35% to 38% suddenly they won't be rich anymore. Please nobody wants to hear their whining.

Outsourcing Airline Maintenance

SkyWest plane makes an emergency landing because of faulty landing gear.

Delta makes an emergency landing because of faulty landing gear.
http://www.qgazette.com/news/2010-09-29/Features/Delta_Makes_Emergency_Landing_At_JFK.html

Maybe all these problems can be linked to the fact that the maintenance is outsourced to the lowest bidder with the cheapest labor.

Sure ticket prices are through the roof. Yes all that money buys you less and less service.

So as you sit back trying to get comfortable, without a pillow, knowing there will be no meal. You can be confident knowing the maintenance was done by an unregulated shop in some far away country. The mechanic might not have spoken English. He may have been drinking or on drugs. But rest assured he was very cheap for the airline. Enjoy your flight.

Republicans To The American Workers....Drop Dead.

http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSN2821013620100928

Republicans hate US workers and they don't care who knows it. They are not going to pretend even in an election year. They know the American people are too stupid. Too uninformed to be paying any attention. They know they can kick the American people right in the face and will still win a majority in November. For Republicans Corporations can do whatever they want. If they want to move overseas..... GREAT. As long as the campaign checks continue rolling in they can do whatever they like. Republicans would sell their own mother to help big business. The useless Democrats (who have majorities in both houses) are impotent to do anything. The whole thing makes me queasy.

"The companies this bill targets, by and large, aren't opening overseas subsidiaries to make products for Americans," Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (LIE!)

They're moving overseas to serve foreign markets (LIE), in addition to the markets they already have in place here (IN AMERICA), and that creates jobs here in the United States." (Moving jobs overseas creates jobs in America. I love that logic. It is so dumb I am not even going to comment on it.)

The Last Tank....

The final external fuel tank arrives at Kennedy Space Center. They are getting ready for the end of the US Space program.

Next year NASA will be a space program that can't actually get to space. Thanks Obama.

Banks Keep Failing...No End In Sight.

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704760704575516272337762044.html?mod=googlenews_wsj

279 banks have collapsed since Sept. 25, 2008.

Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. increased its number of problem banks by 6% to 829

Of the failed banks since February 2007, 75 were formed after 1999 (After Deregulation)

The recession and collapse of the housing bubble have cut bank-industry employment by 188,000 jobs, or 8.5%, since 2007, according to FDIC data. Failures alone have cost 11,210 jobs, or 32% of the employees at failed banks.

The big banks all get bailed out with executives cashing in record bonuses. Meanwhile the little banks all get boarded up.

Corn Sugar - Nobody Has To Know The Truth.

http://www.foodconsumer.org/newsite/Nutrition/Food/corn_sugar_1509100616.html
Now that everyone has concluded High Fructose Corn Syrup is evil sludge, brands such as Gatorade and Newman’s Own have fled the product. Newman’s Own even announces on their packaging that their products do not contain HFCS. They want everyone to be clear: that toxic substance is not in their product.

All this negative publicity has got the corn industry shaking in their boots. What is their solution? If people don’t want High Fructose Corn Syrup, just change the name. Call it something else. Isn’t that standard corporate practice? When in doubt, lie. If that doesn’t work, lie some more.

If people don’t want to consume Fructose tell them it is "Corn Sugar." Any good business school will teach that when dealing with a public image problem, the most important thing is deception. The more deception, the better.

When consumers were angered that customer call centers were all located in India, their solution was to lie. You were not talking to "Amir in Bangalore;" you were talking to "Bob in Ohio." Truth doesn’t matter. Just lie……

This way when people avoid Fructose and still get fat, it will help exonerate Fructose. See? Fructose went away and everyone is still fat! Hehehehehe.

If this works for Fructose maybe they can bring back Asbestos. Just call it something else. You don’t want BPA in your water bottles? No problem. Just change the name.

It is genius.

Destroying Books

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20016023-503544.html
Sept 9th Secretary of Defense says not to burn books. Burning books is bad. Burning books puts peoples lives in danger. Please don’t burn books.

http://www.cnn.com/2010/US/09/25/books.destroyed/index.html?hpt=T1
Sept 25th Pentagon destroying books. Destroying books is good. Destroying books saves lives. Please we must destroy your books.

What is the big secret? Is the secret that for 9 years the US military has accomplished zero in Afghanistan? Because we already know that.

Is the secret that they don’t plan on accomplishing anything in the future? Is it that Pakistan is playing both sides? Because we already know that too. Is it that the US has no intention of fixing that problem or getting Bin Laden?

Our troops are over there fighting for freedom and the defense department is stomping it out as fast as they are supposed to be saving it.

Taxing Companies....Sounds Familiar.

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/44/2010/09/senate-debates-tax-increases-o.html?hpid=topnews

Oh look the election is two months away and everyone is about to get run out of office. Lets listen to Andrew now. Once the election is over it will be back to business as usual. But until then lets pretend we care. Unless you are a Republican in which case you don't even pretend.

Oh and if anyone is delusional in thinking the democrats or Obama are going to get rid of the Bush tax cuts you can forget it. They will yell and scream and put on a nice show but those tax cuts aren't going anywhere. That is why they moved that vote till after the election.
