Homeless Kids up 33% in 3 years‏

http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/story/2011-12-12/homeless-children-increase/51851146/1

While CEO’s are trying to count their 36.5% raises in the worst economy since the great depression. Homelessness among kids is up 33% in 3 years.

Yes Obama (and the Republicans) redistribution of wealth is going great. While Mr Hammergren is trying to find ways to not pay taxes on his $145,266,971 salary…..A salary he received thanks to taxpayer provided stimulus (which was suppose to help the economy) kids all over America are looking for a cardboard box to snuggle up to for the night. The American dream coming alive.

There are the rich people and there is everyone else.

Who wouldn’t look at this situation and not think Obama and all of Congress deserve 4 more years.

4 more years……4 more years……Everyone join in….4 more years….

F22 Killing Pilots...Nobody knows why.

http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-fighter-jet-down-20111220,0,3566553.story

the Air Force concluded that Haney, one of its top pilots, was to blame because he was too distracted by his inability to breathe and should have engaged the F-22's emergency oxygen system.

HAHAHAHA It is always the way. Blame the dead pilots. It the their fault…… and the best part is they never attempt to defend themselves. Works out great.

Last week's report generated much debate over whether the Air Force turned Haney, an experienced and award-winning aviator, into a scapegoat to escape more criticism of the F-22.

You think…..

To save himself and the plane, Haney should have leaned over and with a gloved hand pulled a silver-dollar-size green ring that was under his seat by his left thigh to engage the emergency system, the report said.It takes 40 pounds of pull to engage the emergency system. That's a tall order for a man who has gone nearly a minute without a breath of air, speeding faster than sound, while wearing bulky weather gear, said Michael Barr, a former Air Force fighter pilot and former accident investigation officer.

Barr said the Air Force blamed Haney because the brass doesn't want more criticism of the F-22 program, which will cost an estimated $77 billion and whose need was called into question even before its first test flight."They've taken all the heat they want to," Barr said. "They paid a lot of money for an aircraft that doesn't work."

Counting upgrades, research and development costs, the U.S. Government Accountability Office estimates that each F-22 cost U.S. taxpayers $412 million.

The normal Washington shenanigans on display again....‏

http://www.cnn.com/2011/12/20/politics/congress-payroll-tax-cut/index.html

Here we go again. How many times have we seen this movie.

Oh no…… the deadline is approaching……Nobody agrees on anything…….. what will happen…… Everyone bite your nails……Then at the last moment (Usually on Christmas Eve) when nobody is paying attention (Except Andrew) miraculously a bill will be passed with lots of corporate giveaways. Hopefully nobody will find out what is being given away now.

Republican and Democrats LOVE these charades.

Republican LOVE tax breaks. They are pledged to NEVER raise taxes EVER. When Democrats (pretended to) want to let the Bush tax breaks expire Republicans say that is raising taxes. Now these taxes are going to expire and Republicans are pretending they don’t want to extend them (wink wink).

Obama pretends he wants to protect Social Security. Yet this tax break takes money out of Social Security. Then later he will tell you Social Security is underfunded and there needs to be cuts. Even though the reason it is underfunded is because of him.
Republicans hate Social Security and yet when Obama wants to under fund it Republicans are suddenly the great protectors of the program. These taxes need to be paid for (they say). Bushes taxes DON’T need to be paid for. But these do.

Well everyone can rest easy knowing these tax cuts will continue. Despite all the dramatics and terrible acting. Taxes will be extended. Social Security will be underfunded. No jobs will be created. Corporations will benefit.

You watch.

CEO Pay up 36.5%

http://blogs.ajc.com/jay-bookman-blog/2011/12/16/this-will-make-your-holiday-brighter-ceo-pay-up-36-5/
CEO pay was up 36.5% last year.
Didn’t everyone get a 36.5% raise last year? Raise your hand if you got that. Raise your hand if you got a 26% raise. Raise your hand if you got a 16% raise. Raise your hand if you got a 6% raise. Hey how come nobody is raising their hands?
Republicans say Obama is redistributing wealth and they are correct. It is all going to the top 1%.
The good news is the rich people are the “job creators”. The more money the rich people have the more jobs they create. (Clearly).
Three of the 10 highest paid CEOs work in the health-care industry. How can that be??? I thought Obama killed the Healthcare industry. How can healthcare companies still be doing so well?
The highest paid CEO is John Hammergren at McKesson. He made $145,266,971.00 in 2010. So I am thinking who is this guy? What did he do to earn such staggering money? Did he invent the Ipad or something?
Turns out this guy got Billions and Billions of Dollars from Obama’s Stimulus.
http://sites.mckesson.com/AchieveHIT/stimulus101.asp
Mr. Hammergren had direct access to President Obama and advised him on healthcare issues. He was at Obama’s Healthcare summit in 2009. Wasn’t everyone invited to that? It is clear the advice he gave was for Taxpayers to pay lots of money to McKesson. McKesson in turn put millions of dollars in Mr Hammergrens bank account. Isn’t that the way Capitalism works. Doesn’t everyone have direct access to Obama. His stimulus was suppose to create jobs. In reality it just made rich people a richer. Fantastic!
http://www.footnoted.com/my-big-fat-deal/a-tale-of-two-paychecks-at-mckesson-ca/
At McKesson, CEO John H. Hammergren got $16,935 in financial-counseling fees, $100,560 in free personal trips on the company aircraft, $122,177 for “installation of home security devices and/or for security monitoring services” (nice of them to be specific) and $9,006 for a car and driver.
Making 145 Million is not enough to afford your own driver…You need a separate allowance for that.

China Hacking EVERYTHING‏

http://www.businessweek.com/news/2011-12-14/china-based-hacking-of-760-companies-shows-cyber-cold-war.html

How Bill Gates is not in handcuffs I will never understand. That man has done more damage to the United States then all the terrorist networks combined. He should be hanged from the highest tree.

iBahn provides broadband business and entertainment access to guests of Marriott International Inc. and other hotel chains, including multinational companies that hold meetings on site. Breaking into iBahn’s networks, according to a senior U.S. intelligence official familiar with the matter, may have let hackers see millions of confidential e-mails, even encrypted ones, as executives from Dubai to New York reported back on everything from new product development to merger negotiations.

More worrisome, hackers might have used iBahn’s system as a launching pad into corporate networks that are connected to it, using traveling employees to create a backdoor to company secrets

The networks of at least 760 companies, research universities, Internet service providers and government agencies were hit over the last decade by the same elite group of China-based cyber spies. The companies, including firms such as Research in Motion Ltd. and Boston Scientific Corp., range from some of the largest corporations to niche innovators in sectors like aerospace, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology,

“They are stealing everything that isn’t bolted down, and it’s getting exponentially worse,”

For now, the administration is concentrating on raising awareness among company executives and seeking a commitment to improve security against such attacks. Raising awareness…That is what the administration is doing….H*ll I have been doing that for YEARS. Anyone who reads my emails knows about this issue and knows why it is happening. I told everyone it was going to happen. Now I am showing everyone it is happening. Exactly as I said it would. I did expect the President to do more about it than I am. I guess (once again) I expect too much.

the value of the blueprints, chemical formulas and other material stolen from U.S. corporate computers in the last year reached almost $500 billion, said Rogers, a former agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

“We’re talking about stealing entire industries,” he said. “This may be the biggest transfer of wealth in a short period of time that the world has ever seen.” THANKS TO BILL GATES…..

Google vastly underestimated the scope of the spying. Google should have talked to me. I could have told them how bad it was going to be. No surprise around here.

Iran threatening the Straight Of Hormuz‏

http://www.foxnews.com/world/2011/12/13/iranian-official-threatens-military-drill-sealing-off-strait-hormuz/

This is one way to start a war. If Iran wants to push the buttons of the world this is one way to do it. If they want to get a closer look at the US military hardware just close the straight and they will get a good close look at our military capabilities.

They are playing with fire.

Downed Stealth Drone - There is a lot more going on here.....‏

http://www.businessweek.com/news/2011-12-12/iran-shows-downed-spy-drone-as-u-s-assesses-technology-loss.html

The most troubling prospect is that the Iranians’ second claim about how they brought it down -- by hacking into its controls and landing it themselves -- might be true, said one of the intelligence officials .

The official said the possibility that the Iranians, perhaps with help from China or Russia, hacked into the drone’s satellite communications is doubly alarming because it would mean that Iranian or other cyber-warfare officers were able to disable the Sentinel’s automatic self-destruct, holding pattern and return-to-base mechanisms.

Those are intended to prevent the plane’s secret flight control, optical, radar, surveillance and communications technology from falling into the wrong hands if its controllers at Creech Lake Air Force Base or the Tonopah Test Range, both in Nevada, lose contact with it.
Targeting Computer Networks

In recent years, one of the officials said, computer hackers thought to be part of extensive Chinese or Russian cyber espionage efforts have attacked the computer networks of numerous defense contractors, including Lockheed Martin; broken into two satellite ground stations and planted keystroke logging software in some military computers -- including some that are used to control some U.S. drones.

Two U.S. intelligence officials said that while the drones’ and other military and intelligence computer networks are kept separate from the public Internet, investigators have uncovered what they said are numerous instances when thumb drives containing Chinese and other malware have infected classified networks. Often, they said, such infections have spread quickly and proved very difficult to eradicate.

Air France Crash...Still Makes No Sense.

http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/aviation/crashes/what-really-happened-aboard-air-france-447-6611877

The official explanation still makes no sense.

They say -

The outside temperature is much warmer than forecast, The two copilots discuss the unusually elevated external temperature.

If the temperature is “Elevated” how do the pitot tubes ice over?? Ice doesn’t form in hot weather. It forms in cold.

Bonin reacts irrationally. He pulls back on the side stick to put the airplane into a steep climb, despite having recently discussed the fact that the plane could not safely ascend due to the unusually high external temperature.

First they say - Then the stall warning sounds. This is a synthesized human voice that repeatedly calls out, "Stall!" in English, followed by a loud and intentionally annoying sound called a "cricket." A stall is a potentially dangerous situation that can result from flying too slowly. At a critical speed, a wing suddenly becomes much less effective at generating lift, and a plane can plunge precipitously

Then they say - The plane is soon climbing at a blistering rate of 7000 feet per minute. While it is gaining altitude, it is losing speed, until it is crawling along at only 93 knots,

So the plane is in a stall and the pilot pulls up on the stick (which is wrong) yet the plane is gaining altitude at a blistering rate. Well if the plane is in a stall how is it gaining altitude?????? That makes no sense.

Again, the stall alarm begins to sound. Still, the pilots continue to ignore it and the reason may be that they believe it is impossible for them to stall the airplane. It's not an entirely unreasonable idea: The Airbus is a fly-by-wire plane; the control inputs are not fed directly to the control surfaces, but to a computer, which then in turn commands actuators that move the ailerons, rudder, elevator, and flaps. The vast majority of the time, the computer operates within what's known as normal law, which means that the computer will not enact any control movements that would cause the plane to leave its flight envelope. "You can't stall the airplane in normal law," says Godfrey Camilleri, a flight instructor who teaches Airbus 330 systems to US Airways pilots.

But once the computer lost its airspeed data, it disconnected the autopilot and switched from normal law to "alternate law," a regime with far fewer restrictions on what a pilot can do. "Once you're in alternate law, you can stall the airplane," Camilleri says.

So the pilots are trained that the computer will not let them do anything to crash the plane but in reality that is not really true. So they wonder why they were ignoring the stall warning when really they were trained that the plane won’t stall so why listen to it.

Bonin may have assumed that the stall warning was spurious because he didn't realize that the plane could remove its own restrictions against stalling and, indeed, had done so

Stupid design by Airbus…. Either the pilot is in charge or the computer is in charge. You can’t have it both ways. Decide who is flying the plane.

Unlike the control yokes of a Boeing jetliner, the side sticks on an Airbus are "asynchronous"—that is, they move independently. "If the person in the right seat is pulling back on the joystick, the person in the left seat doesn't feel it," says Dr. David Esser, a professor of aeronautical science at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. "Their stick doesn't move just because the other one does, unlike the old-fashioned mechanical systems like you find in small planes, where if you turn one, the [other] one turns the same way." Robert has no idea that, despite their conversation about descending, Bonin has continued to pull back on the side stick.

As the plane approaches 10,000 feet, Robert tries to take back the controls, and pushes forward on the stick, but the plane is in "dual input" mode, and so the system averages his inputs with those of Bonin, who continues to pull back. The nose remains high.

More stupid designs by airbus. The pilot and the co pilot can be doing opposite instructions (with the same controls) and won’t even know it??? Then the plane averages the two inputs…..Are you kidding me…. Did these engineers think at all before they designed this plane? Dumbest sh*t I ever heard. None of this still explains how the tail of the plane ended up miles away from the rest of the wreckage. It the plane was falling out of the sky flat (at an angle with its nose up) why would the tail be ripped off. I am still waiting for that to be explained.

Fracking...The lies...And the Truth‏

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8du6pQbvyo

Here we have Exxon Mobile telling everyone how completely safe Natural Gas Fracking is. There are lots and lots of safeguards (they say)and no possible way the ground water would ever get contaminated. No way..... Who would even think that pumping tons of top secret chemicals into the ground (at tremendous pressure) could ever possibly contaminate drinking water. It is preposterous. After all if you can't trust Exxon to care for the environment who can you trust.

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-205_162-57339715/epa-suspects-fracking-linked-to-pollution/

Here we have the EPA pointing to fracking as the source of contaminated ground water. Who would have figured that...

The EPA's found that compounds likely associated with fracking chemicals had been detected in the groundwater beneath Pavillion, a small community in central Wyoming where residents say their well water reeks of chemicals. Health officials last year advised them not to drink their water after the EPA found low levels hydrocarbons in their wells.

First 787 Decommissioned already....

http://www.seattlepi.com/business/boeing/article/Boeing-decommissions-first-787-2338083.php

That didn’t take long. The first 787 was so completely phucked up that they are already decommissioning it. To most people that maybe suprising. To anyone reading this message it shouldn’t be surprising at all.

Boeing reclassified the first three 787s to a research and development expense in August 2009, taking a charge of $2.5 billion, because the reworking destroyed the airplanes' commercial value. The first 787 ended up costing Boeing more than $4 billion, company sources told Flightblogger.

The Obama Charade Part 2

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/dec/07/obama-roosevelt-republicans-rich?newsfeed=true

The election is coming so it is time to try and hide what Obama has been doing for the last 3 years. Time to pretend he is “man of the people” instead of what he really is “man of corporate interests and the super rich”.

Hopefully nobody has been paying attention.

Obama says he loves the Middle Class and is against the Corporations and the super rich. OK….. so what has he done to help the middle class…….Crickets……..
OK….What has he done to help the super rich…..

Oh right he extended to hated Bush Tax Cuts…You know to help the middle class.

He had a State Dinner for Communist Red China which included a who’s who of US corporate elite…..You know to help the middle class.

Then he had a State dinner for India, with another who’s who of US corporate elite….You know to help the middle class.

Then he bailed out the Wall Street Banks with Billions and (now we find out) Trillions of dollars…..You know to help the middle class.

Then he spent hundreds of billions of dollars to prevent unemployment from going above 6%. The result was it went over 9%.

Then he passed the free trade agreement with Korea…..You know to help the middle class.

And when Unions were under attack in Wisconcin remember when Obama flew out to show his support for the workers…..Oh wait he didn’t do that at all. In fact he did nothing. He said nothing. All as the unions got demolished.

Remember when he supported off shore drilling….You know to help the middle class.

Then he supported “Clean Coal” because he is all about helping the environment.

Yes time and time again Obama has shown he could give a F*ck about the middle class. But hey election time is coming so it is time to start changing the reality. Nothing alters reality like a fiery well spoken speech.

Hopefully nobody will notice the truth.

Arsenic in Apple Juice - Enjoy!‏

http://healthland.time.com/2011/11/30/arsenic-in-apple-juice-a-new-report-suggests-widespread-exposure/

When Dr Oz said Apple Juice was laced with Arsenic everybody shrugged their shoulders and didn't believe it. Now Consumer Reports is saying the same thing and everyone is taking notice. The important part of this story is that most of these tainted Apples are coming from our friends in Communist Red China. You know the people that brought our kids lead covered toys. The people that brought our animals Melamine Tainted Dog food. Brought our homes Formaldehyde tainted Sheet Rock. Now they are bringing our kids arsenic flavored Apple Juice. YUM! What parent doesn't want that for their kids. In the old days Apples were grown in the United States. Those days are over. Now they comes from the polluted groves of filthy China where there are no environmental standards. Drink up. Make sure your pour your kids an extra large glass, they will thank you for it later.

The government has no standard for arsenic or lead in apple juice or grape juice, and the new findings have prompted Consumers Union, CR's advocacy arm, to call on the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to regulate the toxins in juice.

Who needs government standards????? Let the private market regulate themselves......See how well that works out? Isn't everyone impressed with how the private industry makes sure our kids are safe? If the government doesn't ram the cattle prod up the azz of corporate American then you get arsenic in your kids apple juice. So the next time you hear anyone say we need to deregulate industry just punch them right in the face. Deregulation = arsenic in your kids apple juice. Believe me you won't find that on the ingredients label either. Everyone is comparing Apple juice to the standard of drinking water.

What nobody remembers is Bush increased the allowable arsenic in water when he was president.

Iran Shooting Down our Drones‏

http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5ipJwm1nQLDF_mVQyed3C7nF9WUQQ?docId=2052b8cac99b4dac835de75216a6b135

Drones are all the rage in the back country of Afganistan. As long as the country has no air defenses whatsoever then drones are awesome. But any modern country with technology created after 1637 and Drones are completely useless. In the old days we had the SR71 which flew at 80,000 feet and mach 3. By the time the country figured out it was there the pilot was home in bed. But the geniuses in Washington decided those weren't needed anymore and the planes were all retired. Now you can still see them collecting dust at the Smithsonian in Washington DC. Meanwhile our super fancy (but completely useless) drones are in the Iranian hands. Which means soon they will be in Chinese hands. Good planning......

Secret Loans To Wall Street

http://news.businessweek.com/article.asp?documentKey=1376-LVDMGO1A74E901-5CG1C7JPCU5J1O688G3J3C73JE

Secret Bank loans….. The way Capitalism is suppose to work. The banks say to keep the government away. Government is the problem not the solution. That is until the free bailout money is needed. Then just pile it high for the Wall Street Fat Cats. No regulations…..No Oversight. Just free SECRET money for Wall Street and friends. And people wonder why “Occupy” Wall Street is going on. Read this article and you will understand why it is going on. Did you get free low interest government loans in the Billions? Neither did any of the protesters….But JP Morgan sure did. Goldman Sachs sure did. Bank of American sure did. That is why they are protesting.

The Fed didn't tell anyone which banks were in trouble so deep they required emergency loans of a combined $1.2 trillion on Dec. 5, 2008

Bankers didn't mention that they took tens of billions of dollars at the same time they were assuring investors their firms were healthy.

Saved by the 2007-2010 bailout, bankers lobbied against government regulations, a job made easier by the Fed, which never disclosed the details of the rescue to lawmakers even as Congress doled out more money and debated new rules aimed at preventing the next collapse.

the secret funding helped preserve a broken status quo and enabled the biggest banks to grow even bigger.

Pelosi VS 60 Minutes‏

60 Minutes story -

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-18560_162-57323527/congress-trading-stock-on-inside-information/?tag=contentMain;cbsCarousel

Pelosi’s response -

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/45287592/ns/politics-more_politics/

"Tonight's report failed to note that the legislation in question in this story was reported out of the Judiciary Committee on October 3, 2008 — the day the House was consumed in passing TARP and also the last day the House was in session before the November election. It failed to note than in September 2008, the House passed the Credit Cardholders' Bill of Rights. In the next Congress, the House and Senate passed and President Obama signed the Credit Cardholders' Bill of Rights and the Dodd-Frank legislation, which included a stronger, more direct approach to addressing swipe fees."

None of this matters…..The issues is does Congress receive insider information that they then use to benefit themselves financially? The answer is yes they do. Nothing Pelosi says disputes the story. Congress is getting rich in a way that would put them in jail if they were anywhere other then Washington DC. They are passing laws which benefit their corporate donors and screw the rest of us. Corporate America benefits. Congress benefits. Everyone else is screwed.
That is why congress has a 9% approval rating.

Dreamliner Update...

The first (and only) Dreamliner delivered enters service today (More then 4 years after it was first introduced).

Lots of concern still exists about the Dreamliner.

India cancels Dreamliners.

http://news.businessweek.com/article.asp?documentKey=1376-LTKW551A1I4H01-5QLT883RM7FF3TNQEL6R25TKG5

Boeing needs to DELIVER 1,100 Dreamliners to make a profit.

“Boeing plans a fivefold jump in monthly 787 production to 10 by the end of 2013” (No chance this happens. It took them 4 years to deliver one.)

Meeting that goal would mean that Boeing would need just over a decade to deliver 1,100 planes (No chance this happens. If they want to know how long to make a profit they need to keep adding years. Lots of them.)

Amortized costs on the 787 won't include research and development expenses or the undisclosed amount Boeing spent to buy out a couple of struggling suppliers. The block size is based on the number of initial sales (Which are being cancelled everyday), airlines' options. So the 10 years to make a profit excludes the BILLIONS and BILLIONS of lost dollars caused by their outsourcing stupidty. So they are doing funny math to reach the conclusion they want to reach. Typical!

Fish Part 2

http://www.boston.com/business/articles/2011/10/24/from_sea_to_sushi_bar_a_system_open_to_abuse/?p1=News_links

Identifying fish consumed in New England used to be easy because it usually didn’t travel far - local fishermen sold their catches to local stores and restaurants. But advances in fish-freezing technology and transportation allow grocers and chefs to sell seafood from all over the world.

There is that Global outsourcing we all know and love. The globalization that Republicans and Democrats love to shove down our throats. In this case Local fisherman get screwed. The consumer gets screwed. A common theme in our national race to the bottom.

spotty oversight contrasts sharply with monitoring of the meat and poultry industries, which is solely the responsibility of the US Department of Agriculture. The USDA has 8,000 inspectors at 6,200 US processing plants

Wait till Ron Paul and Herman Cain gets rid of the Dept of Agriculture and the USDA. Cut, cut cut cut cut. After all the Government is the problem not the solutions. The way you fix everything is by getting rid of government. Let the private sector regulate themselves. Government is in the way. Get rid of them.

Fish

http://www.boston.com/business/articles/2011/10/23/on_the_menu_but_not_on_your_plate/?page=full

Do I even need to say it…….Do I……OK I will…….. REGULATION!

Here is one more example. Just throw it on the ever growing pile. Pick any issue (Gas prices, Banking collapse, Mortgage crisis, Airlines suck, Consumer protections) and it is all the same.

“The results underscore the dramatic lack of oversight in the seafood business compared with other food industries such as meat and poultry”

“Last year, the United States imported about 5.5 billion pounds of fish worth almost $15 billion, much of it from China.”

“the absence of regular testing by federal and state agencies has allowed fish substitution to thrive.”

Good thing every single Republican candidate is running on More Deregulation. According to them the more you deregulate the better everything gets. Enjoy your fish dinner.

F-35 off to Japan‏

http://www.onlineamd.com/aerospace-manufacturing-assembly-F35-Japan-amd-101011.aspx

F-35 final assembly is going to Japan. The US government is set to spend $382,000,000,000.00 of your hard earned tax dollars and a big chuck of that is going to go to Japan. If Japan gets the work, and the technology, and the know how they MAY give Lockheed an $8,000,000,000.00 contract. Lockheed wins. Japan wins. US worker lose. US taxpayers who are funding this F-35 debacle lose.

Sounds about right!

The program is plagued with delays and cost overruns, and one variant of the plane suffered cracks in the bulkhead after it flew just 1,500 hours out of a planned 16,000. Money well spent.

Retirement Heist‏

http://www.usatoday.com/money/books/reviews/story/2011-10-14/retirement-heist-book/50795990/1

Our Buddy Jeff Immelt front and center as the poster boy…..

"What Immelt didn't mention was that, far from being a burden, GE's pension and retiree plans had contributed billions of dollars to the company's bottom line over the past decade and a half, and were responsible for a chunk of the earnings that the executives had taken credit for. Nor were these retirement programs — even with GE's 230,000 retirees — bleeding the company of cash. In fact, GE hadn't contributed a cent to the workers' pension plans since 1987 but still had enough money to cover all the current and future retirees."
Then Schultz delivers the clincher: GE was indeed burdened by a pension plan — the plan for top executives. The obligations of that plan, for a minuscule number of individuals compared with the 230,000 lower-level retirees, totaled $4.4 billion and had drained about $573 million from the corporate treasury over the past three years.

Ron Paul

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/10/18/rep-paul-proposes-1t-spending-cut-plan/

Ron Paul would gut the government and give rich people (and corporations) tax cuts. What a unique Republican idea. We have NEVER heard that plan before. Way to come up with some new ideas Ron. Way to think outside the Republican box. I bet those ideas just might fix everything. Where can I get a Ron Paul bumper sticker for my car.

Economic plan that would lower corporate and individual taxes and cut federal spending by $1 trillion during his first year in office

He would close the departments of Education, Energy, Commerce, Interior and Housing and Urban (poor people) Development. (Sounds awesome….None of those agencies are important)

The federal work force would be cut by 10 percent (That will help the 9% unemployment). Mr. Paul also called for stopping foreign aid and "ending foreign wars.'' (Everyone is on their own. Haiti is wiped out in a hurricane…… Sorry! Good luck with that.)

His "Plan to Restore America'' would end the estate tax (helping rich people) and taxes on personal savings (helping rich people), "allowing (rich) families to build a nest egg.'' He would extend tax cuts on personal income (for rich people), capital gains (Rich people) and dividends (Helping rich people)

There will be two Americans. Rich people stand over to the right. Everyone else stand over to the left. Everyone on the left you are on your own. Everyone to the right pop open the Champaign. Lets Party!

Deregulation costing you $600.00 a year....

http://money.cnn.com/2011/10/13/news/economy/gasoline_cost_speculation/

"Speculation will add $600 to the average household expenditures on gasoline in 2011," a report released Thursday by the Consumer Federation of America said, "resulting in the highest level of spending ever of almost $2,900."

The oil market was deregulated in December of 2000, creating opportunities for excessive speculation and a massive increase in the market's size, the report states. Prior to this change in policy, speculation didn't have a heavy impact on oil prices, nor was it so widespread.

"This report provides a timely reminder that it was weak regulation that landed us in our current economic mess," CFA Director of Investor Protection Barb Roper said, "and it will take a strong policy response to restore the economy to health."

The CFA said deregulation added about $30 per barrel to the cost of oil in 2011, draining more than $200 billion -- 1% of gross domestic product and 2% of consumer spending -- from the economy. A 2% reduction in consumer spending on goods and services translates into the loss of hundreds of thousands of jobs, according to the CFA. Deregulation is the root of all evil.

Every time you hear the word spoken (by democrats and Republicans) know what it really means. You are about to get screwed. Enjoy!

Hank Williams Constitutional Lesson....

http://www.nj.com/entertainment/celebrities/index.ssf/2011/10/hank_williams_jr_says_espn_vio.html

Hank is mistaken. The first amendment protects you against the government stopping your free speech. It does not protect you against a private employer canning your azz. You can say whatever you like. And they can stop employing you. They can stop employing you if you say nothing. There is no restrictions on your employer getting rid of you. They do it all the time.

The correct issue‏

http://online.wsj.com/article/AP6d65c54e9bcf4142aced69a8fb94af9c.html

“Protesters are expected to call for an end of corporate control of government”.

Finally the people are focusing on the correct issue. Corporate control of governement… YES!!! Exactly right. Corporate America needs to be controlled by the government. Not the other way around. The other way around is why everything says made in china. Why all helpdesks are in India. Is why Wall Street crumbled and needed to be bailed out. Is why there is a foreclosure epidemic. Is why gas costs $4.00. Is why the gulf of Mexico is full of oil. Is why we have a 14 trillion dollar national debt and nothing to show for it. Is why people are angry and finally taking to the streets to do something about it. I completely support the cause.

It is time for the people to take back the government and insist on some representation. I hope it continues.

"If you don't have a job and you are not rich, blame yourself!"
(Oh and please vote for me for president)

This is why no matter how atrocious Obama is he will still get reelected. Because what is the alternative? Is this guy saying what you want to hear?

If you are sitting home unemployed is this guy giving you confidence that he gets the problem? That he is going to fix anything?

This guy says it is your fault….. It is your fault they sent all our jobs are over seas. It is your fault wall street made the worlds dumbest loans which blew up in their face. It is your fault got bailed out.

If you are angry you should be angry with yourself……..

American politics 101….

Republicans – They could care less about you and are not even going to pretend otherwise. They have their middle finger up and it is pointing right at your face. F*ck you!

Democrats – They could care less about you (as well) but at least they pretend (as they lie right to your face). Their middle finger is also pointing right at your face but they attempt to hide it behind a napkin.

I also love how when -
It is right wing tea party protests (to Republicans) they represent grass roots Americana at its finest. The tea party is what America is all about

BUT

When it is Occupy Wall Street protests (to Republicans) it is left wing nut jobs who are anti capitalist Communist scum bags.

Secret Panels to Kill Americans‏

http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/10/05/us-cia-killlist-idUSTRE79475C20111005

I thought these were only things that happened when Bush was President. Killing American citizens in secret is never a good thing. Not that I have a problem killing terrorists. I don’t. It is the secret part that is troubling. I expect this from Bush. Obama was suppose to be different. Yet here is one more example that he is exactly the same. Add it to the list.

Congress discussing Tariffs‏

http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/10/04/us-usa-china-currency-idUSTRE7911TD20111004

The entire House of Represented (One 3rd of the Senate) and the President are all up for Reelection in one year. Unemployment is over 9% with no hope of improving.

Congress approval rating is sitting at a whopping 12%.
http://www.newser.com/story/128728/congress-approval-rating-lowest-ever.html

Everyone is pissed off so what is their solution…..TARIFFS!!!! What a novel idea…. Where have we heard that idea before? The “experts” all say it won’t work until they are about to get drop kicked out of office. Then everyone starts agreeing with me. How nice!!!!!!

On Monday, the Senate voted to open debate on a bill that calls for U.S. tariffs on imports from countries with deliberately undervalued currencies, prompting an angry rebuke from China. (Why would China care since they insist they don’t cheat.)

Senators voted 79-19 on Monday to open a week of Senate debate on the Currency Exchange Rate Oversight Reform Act of 2011, which would allow the U.S. government to slap countervailing duties on products from countries found to be subsidizing their exports by undervaluing their currencies.

If they passed this bill 25 years ago we wouldn’t be in the ditch we are currently in.

China's central bank and the ministries of commerce and foreign affairs accused Washington of "politicizing" currency issues and putting the global economy at risk of a trade war.

GOOD!!!!!! Trade War is perfect. Let’s do it. No more imports from China. Period! Turn all the ships away at the dock. If Americans want a product currently made in China it MUST now be made in the USA.

Everyone enjoy the prosperity. The Deficit will soon be gone. Social Security will be saved. Medicare will be saved. There will be jobs of all kind for anyone who wants them. America is back! Your welcome!

Unfortunately this is all political shenanigans and will never ever see the light of day. Shame!

Kodak in trouble‏

http://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/2011/09/30/kodak-in-free-fall-stock-plunges-60/

Kodak is headquartered in Rochester NY. When I was in college from 1991-1995 Kodak was in trouble the entire time I was up there. They were always laying off thousands of employees which devastated Rochester. The three big companies up there are Kodak, Xerox, and Bocsh and Lomb. They were all laying people off back then.

In those years it was before digital cameras. I can’t image what Kodak does today. Nobody uses film and they aren’t a player in digital. My guess is they will go the way of Pontiac. Bye Bye….. It will be another Corporate America success story. That private sector sure knows how to do it up right.

Amazon.com‏

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/businesstechnology/2016289835_amazonwarehouse25.html

Amazon is treating their employees like sh*t. That is what happens when American employees are forced to compete against slave labors in China. It is a race to the bottom. You don’t like getting treated like sh*t??? Too f*cken bad… Where else you gonna work? Do you have any other options? Now get back to work and shut up…..

Goris said he also saw a co-worker pass out at the water fountain and paramedics bringing people out of the warehouse in wheelchairs and on stretchers.

"I never felt like passing out in a warehouse and I never felt treated like a piece of crap in any other warehouse," Goris said.

His complaints are not unique.

Other workers said they experienced brutal heat inside the sprawling warehouse during the summer heat waves. Amazon even arranged to have paramedics parked in ambulances outside, ready to treat workers who dehydrated or suffered other forms of heat stress.

Those who couldn't quickly cool off and return to work were sent home or taken to area hospitals.

They also said they were pushed to work at a pace many could not sustain. Employees were frequently reprimanded regarding their productivity and threatened with termination, workers said.

The consequences of not meeting work expectations were regularly on display, as employees lost their jobs and got escorted out of the warehouse.

Such sights encouraged some workers to conceal pain and push through injury lest they get fired as well, workers said.

Oil Company Tax breaks paid for by school kids‏

http://www.businessweek.com/ap/financialnews/D9Q0ENHO0.htm

In Texas they want to take money from school kids and hand it over to the oil company’s.

You can’t make this stuff up.

The refineries want the tax breaks in exchange for buying pollution-controlling equipment. (If they have to be clean it is up to you to pay for it.)

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality is evaluating 16 refund requests that could add up to more than $135 million,

if the commission grants the requests, at least 12 other refineries that have not sought a refund also could qualify.

Beginning in 2006, the Environmental Protection Agency began requiring refineries to remove sulfur dioxide from diesel and gasoline, and many refineries had to either upgrade existing "hydrotreater" units or purchase new, more effective equipment. (Boo hoo)
San Antonio-based Valero Energy Corp. argues that the units should qualify for a tax exemption under an amendment to the Texas Constitution that says industrial plants don't have to pay taxes on equipment purchased to reduce on-site pollution.
Valero could potentially get a refund of more than $92 million

Schools alone could be forced to fork over $62.8 million (This is money the schools have already spent. They will have to reimburse the filthy rich oil companies. The oil companies gouge consumers on the front end and get tax breaks on the back end. The end result is always the same…..YOU PAY! And pay and pay and pay….)

They have every possible solution except the one that matters.

The problem remains everything is still made overseas and corporate America still doesn’t want to hire Americans. Not today and not ever. That will remain the problem regardless how much everyone ignores it.

It is like having a dead car battery and their solution is to change the tires. New tires are great but the car battery is still dead. So they say they will just push it through the car wash and clean it right up. Wonderful….. but the car battery is still dead. No worries (they say) we can put new spark plugs in and that should fix it. If that doesn’t work they can put a new air filter in…… There are lots of solutions. Of course only one is the correct one and nobody has said it yet. Year 11.

I have been saying this for years.

In 2011 taking on tens of thousands in student loan debt is not worth it. These colleges are robbing kids blind and when it is done (and they have their piece of paper) there are no jobs of any kind. Naive 17 year olds think they are going to get out of college and make a hundred grand. The reality is very different. Bill Gates wants taxpayer money...please‏

All I hear is the private sector is where innovation happens. They are the leaders. All things great come from the private sector. The Government is annoying and in the way. Shut up (government) and stand to the side while the mighty private sector leads the way.

Government should be small and weak and is undeserving of any tax revenue.

YET here come the mighty CEO’s asking for more tax payer money to fund their private projects. Please help us (government) because we are totally useless if you don’t show us the way (money).

Social Security needs to be cut. Medicare needs to be cut. Medicade needs to be cut. Welfare needs to be cut. Unemployment benefits need to be cut.

enacting a new federal fee (tax) on electricity delivered to consumers (Tax the consumer and give the money to Bill Gates)

adding a few cents to the federal gasoline tax (Tax the consumer and give that money to Bill Gates too. Gas prices aren’t high enough already)

levying a fee on carbon emissions (Bill Gates loves taxes as long as he gets all the money).

NASA's Plan...Supposedly

http://www.ajc.com/news/nation-world/future-nasa-rocket-to-1181023.html

NASA has dreamed up the world's most powerful rocket,

The multibillion-dollar program will carry astronauts in a capsule on top, but the first mission would be 10 years off if all goes as planned. Unmanned test launches are expected from Cape Canaveral, Fla., in six years.

the "largest, most powerful rocket built,"

Even the smallest early prototype of the rocket will have 10 percent more thrust than the Saturn V

When it is built to its fuller size, it will be 20 percent more powerful,

The size, shape and heavier reliance on liquid fuel as opposed to solid rocket boosters is much closer to Apollo than the recently retired space shuttles,

The idea is to launch its first unmanned test flight in 2017 with the first crew flying in 2021 and astronauts heading to a nearby asteroid in 2025, the officials said. From there, NASA hopes to send the rocket and astronauts to Mars — at first just to circle, but then later landing on the Red Planet — in the 2030s.

Eventually it will be able to carry 143 tons into space, maybe even 165 tons

By comparison, the long-dormant Saturn V booster that sent men to the moon was able to lift 130 tons.

the space shuttle, which could haul just 27 tons

During its initial test flights the rocket will use five solid rocket boosters designed for the shuttle strapped on its outside and will have shuttle main engines powering it on the inside. But soon after that the solid rocket boosters will be replaced with new boosters that should have new technology and may be either liquid or solid, the officials said

57 free throws taken by Bayi to just 15 for Georgetown, and quickly spun out of control. (Let me guess Chinese refs)

The Hoyas dodged water bottles and other objects thrown from the stands as they made their way to the locker room.
At one point, a Rockets player even berated Thompson after the Hoyas' coach yelled at his team.

Terrelle Pryor

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/6873163/terrelle-pryor-eligible-nfl-sit-first-five-games

So let me get this straight. Terrelle Pryor gets into trouble at Ohio State University but even though he was in trouble was still allowed to play in the Sugar Bowl.

http://www.mrsec.com/2011/01/why-is-pryor-playing-in-tonights-sugar-bowl/

Now he is going to the NFL and the NFL is going to suspend him for 5 games because of what he did in the NCAA. How does that work?

If Terrelle Prior is suspended in the NFL (for what he did in the NCAA) how is Pete Carrol not suspended for what he did at USC?

USC is on probation for things that happened why Carrol was their coach. The second a sniff of trouble came to USC Pete Carrol ran to coach the Seattle Seahawks. The NFL had nothing to say about that.

How is Reggie Bush not suspended for what he did at USC? He had to return his Heisman Trophy years after he was in the NFL. The NFL had nothing to say about that.

Terrelle won’t be allowed to practice in the NFL but his disgraced coach Jim Tressel is allowed at an NFL practice yesterday.

Air France Crash

http://globalspin.blogs.time.com/2011/08/04/revelations-surrounding-air-france-crash-inquiry-sparks-accusations-of-manipulation/

The French government is investigating the Air France crash. The French Government is part owner of Airbus. If Airbus is to blame for 228 people dying that could be big problems for France. They might have to explain all the Airbus outsourcing that has taken place to save money. How that has contributed to crappy pitot tubes. Tails that keep falling off Airbus planes. And a Faulty stall warning system.

So the French government is quick to blame the dead pilots for the crash. Dead pilots have a hard time defending themselves. It is real easy to point to them and hope everyone moves on.

Somehow the pilots who are sitting in a dark cockpit, over the Atlantic Ocean, in the middle of the night, flying through a raging storm. Pilots who have no point of reference out the windows. The plane is giving them faulty readings as to how fast they are flying. Warnings are going off that may or may not be accurate about a stall. It is clearly their fault the plane was doomed.

Sounds convenient BUT nobody in France is buying it. The pilots union is pissed. The relatives of the victims are pissed.

The French have a lot more explaining to do.

Less than a week after France's official Bureau of Investigations and Analyses (BEA) issued a preliminary finding stating insufficiently trained pilots of the doomed Airbus A330 failed to address a resolvable stall of the craft, France's leading pilots' union and families of victims are attacking the organization and its study as being manipulated by French business interests. The SNPL union said it was suspending its participation in the BEA's inquiry after French media revelations Wednesday that the agency made last-minute deletions of a section in the study raising questions about the plane's stall warning system—concerns that could have considerable consequences aviation giant Airbus.

Recovery Still Slow......‏

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/30/business/economy/us-economy-worse-than-expected-in-second-quarter.html

Recovery Still Slow as New Data Show Little Growth
By
Published: July 29, 2011
WASHINGTON — The United States economy has slowed considerably this year from a year ago (Not like it was booming a year ago), according to a report from the Commerce Department released on Friday.

The country’s gross domestic product, a broad measure of the goods and services produced across the economy, grew at an annual rate of 1.3 percent in the second quarter, after having grown at an annual rate of 0.4 percent in the first quarter — a number that itself was revised sharply down from earlier estimates (They always give a fake numbers to make things seem rosier and then when nobody is paying attention they revise them downward) of 1.7 percent. Data revisions going back to 2003 also showed that the 2007-2009 recession was deeper, and the recovery to date weaker, than originally estimated.

“The word for this report is ‘shocking,’ ” said John Ryding, chief economist at RDQ Economics. “With slow growth, higher inflation (Because of oil prices) , almost no consumer spending growth, it is very tough to find good news.” (The only thing shocking is that this guy thinks any of this is shocking. It is exactly what I said it would be for 11 straight years. It is exactly what it is going to be in the future too. There is nothing shocking about any of it. Send all the jobs overseas and this is what you get. Enjoy it.)

The latest figures come as Congress is debating how to put the nation on a more sustainable fiscal path, with measures that some economists worry could further slow the recovery and even throw the economy back into recession. (We are in recession)

Usually a sharp recession is followed by a sharp recovery, (Usually the jobs aren't all overseas) meaning a recovery growth rate that is far faster than the long-term average growth rate; this time around, (When all the jobs are overseas) though, output is growing at only about a third the average rate seen in the 60 years preceding the Great Recession. As a result, the country’s output is far below its potential. (You don't say....)

Particularly distressing is that consumer spending — which, alongside housing, usually leads the way in a recovery — has been extraordinarily weak in recent quarters. (Unemployed people aren't buying things...Wow that is a mystery) Inflation-adjusted consumer spending in the second quarter barely budged, increasing just 0.1 percent.

“People are spending more (On gas) , but that spending is being absorbed in higher prices (Because of gas) , not in buying more stuff,” said Mr. Ryding.

The economy’s slow growth rate is partly responsible for stubbornly high joblessness across the country. (This is backwards. High unemployment is 100% the cause of the dead US economy. All thanks to corporate America) As of June, 14 million Americans were actively looking for work, and the average duration of unemployment has been reaching record highs month after month. Businesses are sitting on a lot of cash, but are still reluctant to hire (Americans) because there is so much uncertainty about the future of the economy.

Slow economic growth takes not only a human toll, but a fiscal one as well. Tepid output increases mean slow growth in the tax revenue needed to pay down the nation’s debt.
Washington, therefore, has a delicate balancing act in its current debt ceiling debates. Given the unsustainable debt trajectory that the economy is on, Congress needs to impose greater fiscal discipline. (Congress needs to force corporate America to hire Americans. To stop rewarding them for sending the jobs overseas) But imposing too much too soon could be self-defeating by weakening growth so greatly that tax revenue falls and requires the country to borrow even more.

Given inflation concerns, it also seemed unlikely that the Federal Reserve will swoop in with yet more monetary easing (Which failed) to goose growth.

“There’s not going to be additional monetary stimulus (Because it doesn't work) , and it’s hard to imagine any fiscal stimulus given the current discussion in Washington,” said Mr. Ryding. “So what’s going to get us out of this? (Hiring Americans) The inevitable conclusion is time (False), and that’s not very satisfactory.”

Exxon Profits Up 41%

http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/07/28/us-exxonmobil-idUSTRE76R2OT20110728?feedType=RSS&feedName=topNews&rpc=71

No recession in the oil industry. 10.68 BILLION Dollars of profit (in the second quarter). And the analysts are disappointed.

The government is about to default on our debt and Republicans refuse to raise taxes on the oil industry. Raising taxes will kill the economy the Republicans say. BUT when Exxon raises taxes the Republicans have no issue whatsoever. That is just capitalism.

Next week if old people don't get their social security checks that is fine with Republicans. If military families don't get a paycheck that is also fine. If interest rates go up on mortgages (forcing even more foreclosures) that is fine. If credit card interest rates skyrocket all because the credit rating of the USA is downgraded that is not a problem for Republicans.

It is all fine except raising taxes on Exxon Mobil and the other members of the oil cartel. That will never happen as long as Republicans are breathing. Oil companies and Billionaires are priority #1.

Gang Of Six - Day 2

http://www.cnn.com/2011/POLITICS/07/20/congress.curbs.six.plan/index.html?hpt=hp_t1

People must be reading my emails because today people are no longer excited about the gang of 6 plan. I wasn't excited about it yesterday. Takes the rest of the world a little bit longer to figure it all out.

Every plan sounds awesome until you actually read what it is saying. Then not so much.

This great 'Gang of Six' would save $4 trillion over 10 years," Rep. Peter DeFazio, a liberal Democrat from Oregon, said sarcastically. "Seniors will pay more. Working people will pay more. Veterans will pay more. Rich people not so much."

Exactly how I stated it yesterday.

Gang Of Six

http://www.forbes.com/feeds/ap/2011/07/19/general-us-debt-showdown-gang-of-six_8573053.html

Their solution to fix the Deficit is to F*ck people on Social Security. F*ck people on Medicare. F*ck the middle class.

While at the same time giving MORE tax cuts to the super rich. Somehow more tax cuts for the rich is going to fix the problem. Even though it didn't fix it in 2001, of 2003 or 2010.

The plan would -

It would curb the growth of Social Security benefits by moving to a lower inflation adjustment for annual cost-of-living updates.

So when Exxon raises the price of gas from $2.80 to $4.11 which causes the price of everything to go up your social security check isn't going to keep pace. Sorry old people....... F*ck you says your government......

The tax reform outline would set up three income tax rates: a bottom rate of 8-12 percent; a middle rate of 14-22 percent and top rate of 23-29 percent to replace the current system that has a bottom rate of 10 percent, with five additional rates topping out at 35 percent.

So the Super rich who are currently paying 35% (Used to be 38%) will now only have to pay 23%. That means even less money for the government. More money for the rich people. Somehow that is going to fix the deficit. Making rich people pay less taxes while poor (and old people) pay more will make all the problems go away. That is what they said in 2001, 2003, and 2010. It has been wrong everytime so hey lets keep doing it. Rich people need to be more rich.

It would reduce but not eliminate tax breaks on mortgage interest, higher-cost health plans, charitable deductions, retirement savings and tax credits for families with children.

Time to F*ck the middle class some more....... You currently deduct your mortgage interest. Sorry not going to be doing that anymore b*tches. You currently deduct your 401K contributions...... Sorry you are not going to be doing that anymore b*tches. You currently deduct your kids.... Sorry....no more b*tches. The middle class is going to take it in the AZZ!!!!!!!

Everyone in Washington thinks that is just great.

Pentagon Hacked - AGAIN

http://www.pcworld.com/article/235816/24000_pentagon_files_stolen_in_major_cyberattack.html

The Department of Defense says it was hit by a cyberattack (AGAIN) by a "foreign intelligence service" (CHINA) that managed to pilfer 24,000 sensitive files. (Thanks Bill Gates)

Department of Defense's new "Strategy for Operating in Cyberspace"

Employ new defense operating concepts to protect DoD networks and systems. Translation - Get rid of Microsoft.

Lynn also noted that, over the past few years, "all manner of data has been stolen," from the mundane to the incredibly sensitive, including "aircraft avionics, surveillance technologies, satellite communications systems, and network security protocols" by "foreign intruders (China) from corporate networks of defense companies."

Painting himself into a corner‏

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20078766-503544.html

On Tuesday Mitch McConnell said there will be no real change until Obama is gone.

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2011/07/14/politics/main20079379.shtml

So on Thursday Obama said if you don't agree with me I may be gone.

So if the Republicans want him to be gone. And Obama says he might be gone if Republicans don't agree with him. Why would the Republicans agree with him?

Seems to me that is a pretty dumb stance to take. Not that I am surprised.

Windows 8

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/microsoft/8551957/Microsoft-previews-Windows-8.html

They are copying Windows Phone 7 into Windows 8. They figure if everyone gets used to using their silly tiles people will want the same thing on their phone. Trying to condition the public to like their crappy products. My guess is people aren't going to go for it.

Air France Crash

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2011/05/27/earlyshow/main20066744.shtml

There are a couple of disturbing things about this 2009 Air France crash.

The first is this -

There's one open area. And that's the location and the condition of the tail of that plane. That tail of that plane was found many, many, many miles away from the main debris field and it was found intact. The real question is -- did that tail come off before the plane hit the water? (Obviously it did) And when did it come off if it came off at all? That's what they're going to look at now."

Now when the plane first crashed in 2009 they found the tail floating, but nobody knew where the plane crashed. So nobody knew where the tail came off. Now they have the wreckage and they know the tail was far away. That means the tail came apart in flight. That is a big issue because it is the second time in 10 years an air bus composite tail broke off in flight.

It happened in Nov 2001 as well.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Airlines_Flight_587

That was blamed on the pilot mishandling the controls. That is complete nonsense. The tail should NEVER come off a plane no matter what the pilot does. The tail needs to stay on. Period!

Twice it has come off. Both times on Airbus. Airbus uses composites on the tail and that is showing to be a weakness.

Boeing is building the Dreamliner mostly out of composites and it is a lemon from the start. That is going to be a disaster if these composites are the problem.

The second big issue is this pilot didn't know how to handle a stall.
http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/05/27/uk-pilot-role-in-focus-in-air-france-cra-idUSLNE74Q04T20110527

That is the second time in 2 years a pilot encountered a stall and handled it incorrectly. It also happened in the Colgan Air Crash in Buffalo NY.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colgan_Air_Flight_3407

Repeat problems in plane crashes is never a good thing.

Ballmer Whining about China‏

http://news.cnet.com/2100-1007-990526.html

Remember in 2003 when Bill Gates personally went to china and handed over the source code for Windows. Remember that?

Remember at the time (and many, many, many, many times since then) I said that was incredibly STUPID!!!!!

Remember? Remember when I said that?

But everyone said "This is a global economy ..... blah blah blah......" China has A BILLION people ..... they can't be ignored.

They said Microsoft is going to make Billions selling in China. .....

I said THE USA is the market and China (even though bigger) isn't the market. ...... Won't be the market.
GUESS WHO WAS RIGHT..... AGAIN!

Look at all the money Microsoft is making in China. ...Guess who is whining about it.

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052702303654804576347190248544826.html

"our revenue in China will be about a twentieth of our revenue in the United States."
The statement suggests Microsoft's revenue in China is close to $2 billion. For the fiscal year ended June 30, 2010, Microsoft reported U.S. revenue of $36.2 billion out of a world-wide total of $62.5 billion.
Good thing Bill ran over their and pulled his pants down for the communists. They have been kicking his bare azz ever since. Idiot!

Ballmer still all about India‏

Those who don't learn from history.......

Steve Ballmer laid off thousands and thousands of Americans and replaced them all in India. That has led to a big steaming pile of horse sh*t that nobody gives a crap about.

From respected leading technology company to complete laughing stock of Silicon Valley. For 11 years the stock has gone nowhere.

As recently as yesterday high profile investors are calling for Ballmer head.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2011/may/26/microsoft-boss-ballmer-must-quit-says-einhorn

How does he respond....

http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/tech/software/india-market-key-to-microsoft-future-says-ceo-steve-ballmer/articleshow/8586720.cms

More India....."Steve highlighted the importance of the Indian market " (He means Indias cheap labor)

"He also spoke of the Microsoft Mindz product which is a high-scale, high-storage application being used by leading Indian businesses like Wipro, Infosys" (Outsourcing companies that steal US jobs)

In conclusion, Steve said: "The key to life in tems of technol;ogy is to look forward , before anybody else beats you to it. (Which is amusing considering everyone beats Microsoft to everything (all the time). They are first to market with NOTHING! The company is perpetually playing catch up)

Cloud Computing will enable the use of IT more productively and it is imperative that India which is a major developer of computer programmes makes use of this technology." This is the winning strategy. More of the same.

Funny that Apple (who is actually the leader) doesn't follow this strategy. Steve Jobs thought about sending jobs to India and decided nahhh that is pretty dumb.

http://asiancorrespondent.com/30932/why-india-is-not-on-steve-jobs%E2%80%99-radar/

Contrary to Microsoft’s Bill Gates, who was early to spot and exploit engineering talent, Jobs’ Apple Computers is one of the biggest technology companies that doesn’t seek it. (And they lead as a result.)

Apple considered hiring several thousand engineers for a development centre in Bangalore but eventually abandoned the plan. It briefly ran a call centre in Bangalore before Jobs pulled the plug because of complaints from users. Apple really suffers as a result........

Defending the Indefensible‏

http://www.nydailynews.com/opinions/2011/05/11/2011-05-11_in_defense_of_big_oil_the_truth_about_those_huge_hated_earnings_numbers.html

Yet oil companies' profit margins - that is, the percentage by which their revenues exceed their costs - are quite low. (How do they survive)From 2006 to 2010, the nation's five largest oil companies posted an average profit margin of 6.65%. By contrast, Apple's profit margin exceeded 22%, and Coca-Cola's surpassed 33%.

It doesn't matter what the percentage is...... The percentage is irrelevant. Exxon made $10,700,000,000.00 in 4 months pure PROFIT. 10 Billion dollars is 10 billion dollars. No other company makes that much profit. It is a crime. You don't have to buy Coke and you don't have to buy Apple. You have to buy oil and you buy it in everything you purchase. The lettuce at the super market. The shirt at the mall. Everything is effected by the price of oil. So when they are robbing the you they are doing it over and over and over. There is no way to escape. This crime effects everyone and everything, and It is happening for no reason except greed. All the excuses given are nonsense. It is world wide robbery and it is disgusting. The only thing worse then the crime is this jerk off (From George Mason University) trying to defend it.

Unemployment - Bad News‏

http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/05/05/us-usa-economy-instant-idUSTRE74437V20110505

It is bad news, on top of bad news, on top of bad news.

474,000 New filings - Unexpectedly of course.......

Obama better enjoy the bump he is getting from killing Bin Laden. With gas and $4.19 and no jobs (for the 11th straight year) those numbers will plummet again quickly.

He better summon his BFF Jeff Immelt into his office and find out why he is failing to create all those jobs. He was suppose to be a master job creator and yet there are none. I guess Obama should have been more specified "Create jobs in the USA".

Dreamliner Still A Disaster‏

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/businesstechnology/2014875561_boeing26.html

Well, we are quickly coming up on the 4th anniversary of the Dreamliner being rolled out (to great fanfare) in July 2007.

So how is the tribute to outsourcing coming alone?

Lets take a look.

While Boeing may meet its deadline to deliver the first 787 to All Nippon Airways of Japan before Sept. 30, the production pace projected for 2011 appears out of reach.

"It isn't going to happen," said one mechanic working on the airplanes. "There are too many jobs to be done." (Still too many jobs 4 years later....EMBARRASSING......)

One job taking weeks per airplane is the painstaking removal of sealant from the interior of fuel tanks in the wings, then resealing them.

because the computerized system that provides mechanics with data on parts isn't operating well, even simpler modifications take much longer than they should. (Is that the computer system that was programmed in India? I bet it was.)

Managers last week held all-hands meetings aimed at galvanizing the work force. (Trying to cheer up the American workforce who they sh*t all over for the past decade. They layed them off. They shipped their jobs overseas. They cut their benefits. Now they want to pat them on the back so they bail their azz out. Hip Hip Hooray for Boeing. Everyone show us those smiles. Who loves working at Boeing.......)

planes await thousands of incomplete assembly jobs and modifications necessary because of design changes since they were built. (Since they were f*cked up overseas)

"Nothing we've seen ... is raising red flags for us," (HAHAHAHA..... maybe they should open their eyes.)

"The assembly process is still a mess," an engineer said.

"They are building airplanes in the final-assembly process that then have to be rebuilt in the pickup process, which is many times longer." (My stomach hurts from laughing so hard while reading this. Cracks me up every time)

Parts that don't fit, including doors and control surfaces on the wings, still are arriving in Everett. (Still arriving wrong 4 years later HAHAHAHAHA f*cken outsourcing...... )

"The wings on the 787s aren't even close to being ready," the engineer said. (Aren't even close....HAHAHAHA Oh it hurts so much..... I can't breathe while reading this. HEE HEE HEE, I do love this sh*t. This story is funnier then most stand up comics I have seen)

The latest airplanes rolled out to the flight line from the factory with about 1,600 jobs incomplete. (Oh is that all.........)

"They are just digging the hole deeper every time they send one out with that many jobs on it,"
"Our mechanics are doing a great job," (He meant "Our AMERICAN Mechanics are doing a great job bailing out our offshore debacle)

At the root of the issue, she said, are "elements of both workmanship and design." (Outsourcing)

She added that this is "not a new discovery" and already was factored into the last schedule revision in December. (That is true it is not a new discovery. It was discovered 4 years ago that outsourcing the dreamliner was the biggest corporate f*ckup in the history of corporate America. That decision makes New Coke look like a brilliant idea).

Boeing has been hiring mechanics steadily to beef up its work force and by the summer plans to have 1,200 people working at the ATS hangar, (First they lay them off. Then it gets all f*cked up. Now they hire them back as fast as they can. So was it worth it?????? Dipsh*ts! )

NFL Owners Are Wrong

http://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/nfl-owners-are-wrong-and-dont-get-it/2011/04/26/AFPj63rE_story.html?hpid=z3

"The plain fact is that the owners are the ones who opened the Pandora’s box — and what popped out is a very big monster. Instead of concessions and pay cuts from players, what they may get from them is an Armageddon. Instead of controlled costs, the owners could be looking at the end of the salary cap, the draft, free agency and the union, with every player an independent contractor free to get the best deal for himself".

"The owners best hope to settle this dispute and maintain the current structure of the league is clear: make a fairly generous offer to the players that treats them as what they are, essential partners without whom there would be no game on the field. But first they will have to admit to themselves that they made a mistake and were wrong. Good luck with that one".

Obama pretending to investigate oil‏

http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/04/21/us-obama-oil-idUSTRE73K6WW20110421

U.S. attorney general was assembling a team to root out any fraud and manipulation in the oil markets that might be contributing to higher U.S. gasoline prices.

Might be contributing? It IS contributing!!!! The entire market is fraud and manipulation. Any price over $1.28 is fraud and manipulation. Gas in CT at $4.06 a gallon shows the Godzilla of Manipulation that is going on.

I can't wait to see oil executive and speculators being whisked off in handcuffs. I won't hold my breath as we all know this is just a dog and pony show.

This is a direct response to Obamas approval rating dropping like a stone.

http://www.newsmax.com/Headline/barackobama-oilprices/2011/04/20/id/393536

Obama’s approval rating, meanwhile, has plummeted to 41 percent in a Gallup poll, the lowest number yet of his presidency, and a Washington Post/ABC News poll released on Tuesday showed him with a 47 percent approval rating, down seven percentage points since January.

Your smile is not fooling anyone anymore. If gas prices continue to go up you days in the White House are numbered.

Hamilton Sundstrand‏

http://articles.courant.com/2011-04-20/business/hc-sundstrand-layoffs-20110419_1_utc-stockholders-move-work-hamilton-sundstrand

Hamilton Sundstrand will lay off more than 200 machinists — more than 20 percent of its union workforce in Windsor Locks — and additional layoffs are likely, (Of course they are)

Dan Coulom, a spokesman for Hamilton Sundstrand, said it's inaccurate to say that the company is laying off 214 people, because the company is offering a buyout package to workers who are older than 55.

They say it is voluntary but when you don't accept their package they lay you off anyway and give you the exact same package. So do you want to jump off the bridge? Or do you want to be pushed? Either way the end result is the same. American Workers can go F*ck themselves.

"It's called an enhanced voluntary separation offer, but the voluntary part of it is not really true," he said. "We're not doing this voluntarily, believe me."
Lomba said the director of operations at Hamilton told workers in a meeting Monday morning that the machining jobs will be moved to Singapore and Poland. (The same place Pratt and Whitney Jobs are going) The company's official statement said the work was moving to U.S. and international locations.
"In Poland, they make $5.23 an hour," Lomba said. "I make $31.57 an hour. I am well paid. They make like a sixth of what we make." (Race to the bottom)
The choice to move the work and achieve those savings is likely to be greeted warmly by UTC stockholders.
Nobody hates American workers more then Wall Street. The more American Workers get kicked in the azz the happy Wall Street is. I am sure they are dancing all over lower Manhattan knowing 200 more scum bag American Worker will hit the unemployment lines.
The corporation, Connecticut's largest private employer, announced Wednesday that Hamilton's operating profit was up $23 million, more than 10 percent, in the first quarter. The division's profit margin was 16.9 percent, second highest of all UTC's divisions.
Profits are way up while employing high priced scumbag Americans. Who would have thought?
Wait till next year when the Space Shuttles are all retired and the US Government is taking in even less tax revenue. The deficit will continue (out of control) and the NASA's budget will be further decimated. When that trickles back to Hamilton Sundstrand maybe they won't think America's decline (which they contribute to) is such a great deal.
