Missile Defense.....

Assuming North Korea launched a Nuclear Missile (from North Korea) there is a chance the US missile defense could knock it out.
The way you defeat missile defense though is by simply overwhelming it with missiles.
Don’t fire 3 missiles but fire 70 missiles.
Since North Korea doesn’t have a lot of missile our defense might work.
“Might” when dealing with Nuclear missiles is not a great gamble.
The real threat is North Korea puts their Nuclear warhead on a missile that is in a submarine.
That submarine can go anywhere in the world.
That possibility is something the North Koreans were working on last year.
If that happens our Missile defense is useless.
They could launch off the US East coast of the United States and take out DC or New York before anyone knew what was happening.
Even an overwhelming first strike from the United States (even if we used Nuclear weapons) wiping out all of North Korea (killing millions of people in the process) we still probably couldn’t account for their submarines.
Being that is the case It is still better to find a diplomatic solution.
These are not risks which are worth taking.
Short of a diplomatic solutions we would just have to assume MADD (Mutually assured destruction) still works.
MADD worked with the Soviet Union and we would have to hope it also works with North Korea. The alternatives are unthinkable.
