There are those who choose to serve the greater good as teachers. They go to work outside of the corporate grind. Not having to worry about corporate politics. Have to worry about corporate layoffs.
Or at least so they thought.
When IBM (as an example) laid off thousands of NY workers that had a direct affect on your life too. These events effect everyone and the consequences are dire.
So NY Kids sorry about that. Your class size is about to double. No more one on one time with the teacher. No more money for your extra curricular activities.
IBM wanted to save money by hiring people in India. So now your educational future is going to pay the price for that decision. Don't worry too much about your diminished education. If it makes you feel any better there are no jobs when you get out anyway. Enjoy.
