Shifting The Narrative To Obstruction Of Justice.....

Now the narrative has shifted away from Collusion with Russia (which didn’t happen) and moved over to Obstruction of Justice (Which also didn’t happen).

experts are divided about whether the accumulated evidence is enough for Mr. Mueller to bring an obstruction case. They said it could be difficult to prove that the president, who has broad authority over the executive branch, including the hiring and firing of officials, had corrupt intentions when he took actions like ousting the F.B.I. director.

Some experts said the case would be stronger if there was evidence that the president had told witnesses to lie under oath.

(Yes…..the evidence would be stronger if there was evidence which doesn’t exist...... because it didn't happen....... but if it did happen that would be better. If only…….

Since everyone is concluding there was no collusion (because there wasn’t) why would Trump try to obstruct an investigation looking into something that didn’t happen?

What Trump was trying to do was prevent a witch hunt. A circus which distracts from his presidency. He failed and now we have multiple witch hunts roaming around looking for witches. They provide the exact distraction he was trying to prevent.

But there is still no crime here. Trump wanting Sessions to not recuse himself is not a crime. He did recuse himself and he is still Attorney General. Trump is allowed to be mad about things. He can yell and scream about whatever he wants. He can have a huge temper tantrum. None of that is a crime.

During Watergate Nixon was in trouble for trying to cover up a real crime. The crime actually happened. His conspiracy to try to cover it up was real and provable. He was on tape discussing ordering the FBI to stop investigating the Watergate Money trail (which was leading to banks in Mexico). He wanted to tell the FBI this whole thing was a top secret CIA operation and was not to be pursued. That was all illegal and he had no choice but to resign once the tapes with him discussing it were discovered.

When Clinton was impeached that was also real. He lied under oath about having a relationship with Lewinsky. The relationship was real and provable. His DNA was on her dress. There was no way to deny the crime.

Here we have no crime and no obstruction. Hoping something is not a crime. Wanting something to happen is also not a crime. All the investigations have moved forward. All of them have found nothing. They can all keep grasping at straws…….. but it is all just what Trump feared it would be……A distraction. Which is the point.
