F-22...F-35....F-18‏

So the Pentagon has the F-22 fully developed and in production. But the costs are too high.

The reason the costs are too high is because they built pieces of the plane all over the country. The thinking was more congressmen would support the project if it was creating jobs in their district.

In the end it backfired because everyone making their piece wanted to make a profit too. So costs skyrocketed leading to the entire projects demise.

But who cares because they don't need the F-22. Ignore what China is doing over there. I am sure it is nothing we need to be concerned about. China is our good buddy. Plus the F-22 isn't used in Iraq or Afghanistan and we have the marvelous F-35 right around the corner. The plane that can do everything.

Except before you throw a parade the F-35 it is still being developed. It too is way over budget and way behind schedule. It is years away from being in service and some versions might be scrapped altogether because they don't work.

So in the end the Pentagon says f*ck it all we will just buy more F-18's.

Beautiful!
