UPDATE...F-35 STILL COMPLETELY SUCKS.....AND YOU ARE STILL PAYING FOR IT.......

In case the last 15 years of bad news (concerning the F-35) wasn't enough for you (please don't despair) we have even more bad news to share.  YAYYYY!!!!!!

Make some popcorn and enjoy.

Tests of how Lockheed Martin Corp.’s F-35 will perform in combat won’t begin until at least August 2018

(IT IS ALREADY YEARS AND YEARS AND YEARS BEHIND SCHEDULE AND NOW IT WILL BE MANY MORE YEARS BEFORE THEY EVEN TEST TO SEE IF IT WORKS.)

more than 500 of the fighter jets may be built before the assessment is complete, according to the Pentagon’s test office.

(IT IS NOT TESTED.....THE TESTS THEY HAVE DONE HAVE ALL FAILED.......BUT LETS KEEP RIGHT ON BUILDING THEM.  SURE...WHY NOT)

“These aircraft will require a still-to-be-determined list of modifications”

(SPEND A GAZILLION DOLLARS TO BUILD THEM ALL WRONG THE FIRST TIME....... AND THEN SPEND ANOTHER GAZILLION DOLLARS TO FIX THEM ALL LATER.  SURE...WHY NOT)

“However, these modifications may be unaffordable for the services as they consider the cost of upgrading these early lots of aircraft while the program continues to increase production rates in a fiscally constrained environment.”

(OH DON'T YOU WORRY YOUR PRETTY LITTLE HEAD.....THERE IS ALWAYS MORE TAX DOLLARS AVAILABLE FOR THE PENTAGON.  THEY WILL JUST TAKE THE MONEY FROM THE POOR PEOPLE.  WHEN IT COMES TO BUILDING WEAPONS THE GOVERNMENT NEVER RUNS OUT OF MONEY.  IT IS ALL GOOD.)

The costliest U.S. weapons program, at a projected $391 billion, (IT WILL BE A LOT HIGHER THAN THAT) the F-35 is being produced even as it’s still being developed, a strategy a top Pentagon official once called “acquisition malpractice.”

(IT IS CALLED "ACQUISITION MALPRACTICE" AND YET IT IS STILL BEING ALLOWED TO HAPPEN.   SURE....WHY NOT.)

Despite the plane’s many problems, (THE IMPORTANT WORD IS "MANY") “F-35 production rates have been allowed to steadily increase to large rates,”

(BUILD THE SH*TTY PLANES EVEN FASTER.....HURRY UP.......BEFORE SOMEONE WAKES UP AND STOPS US FROM THIS ONGOING TAXPAYER THEFT. )

Gilmore said the delay in testing stems from flaws in the “3F” software that gives the F-35 its full combat capability.

(FLAWS = SH*TTY OUTSOURCED PROGRAMMERS F*CKED IT ALL UP.  PLUS THE COMMUNIST CHINESE HACKED IN AND STOLE ALL THE PLANS ANYWAY.   THAT HAPPENED IN 2009 SO NOW IT ALL HAS TO BE RECODED A SECOND TIME.  IT IS NICE OF YOU TO PAY FOR IT ALL A SECOND TIME TOO.  YOU ARE VERY GENEROUS.)

Testing of the software isn’t likely to be completed until at least January 2018, or 15 months behind the October 2016 date set when the program was reorganized in 2012.

(SO IN 2012 THE DEADLINES WERE ALL MISSED AND THEY "REORGANIZED" (SET NEW DEADLINES) FOR 2016...... BUT OF COURSE THAT DATE IS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN EITHER....... SO THEY KEEP KICKING THE CAN DOWN THE ROAD.  WHAT IS ANOTHER TWO YEARS......  SURE....WHY NOT.)

The F-35 is a flying computer, with more than 8 million lines of software code.

(8 MILLION LINES OF SOFTWARE CODE THE COMMUNIST CHINESE HAVE ALREADY STOLEN.)

The F-35’s $55 billion development phase is evaluating how well aircraft and systems meet contract specifications and military requirements.

(THEY DON'T NEED TO TEST ANYTHING....I CAN ALREADY TELL YOU THE PLANE IS A TOTAL PIECE OF SH*T.   IT IS GOING TO FAIL ALL THE TESTS.  KICKING THE CAN DOWN THE ROAD WON'T CHANGE THE REALITY.  THE REALITY IS (AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN) THE F-35 COMPLETELY SUCKS...  BUT BY ALL MEANS KEEP SPENDING MORE AND MORE MONEY ON IT.  WHY NOT)

The next milestone for the F-35 is supposed to be an Air Force declaration by August that its version of the F-35 has initial combat capability.  The Air Force last month told a Joint Chiefs of Staff weapons review group it rated that date as jeopardized, or “red,” because of “inherited deficiencies” with its “Block 3i” software and “new avionics stability problems,”

(TRANSLATION....DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH.....THE NEXT MILESTONE WILL BE MISSED JUST LIKE ALL THE MILESTONES HAVE BEEN MISSED.  THE ONLY CONSISTENCY IN THE F-35 PROGRAM IS MISSED DEADLINES AND WASTED MONEY.)

the 3i “software has been continually improved.” Deficiencies in air-to-air and air-to-ground mission sets “were addressed and resolved,”

(THEY TELL YOU IT HAS BEEN RESOLVED BUT LETS NOT TEST IT COMPLETELY FOR TWO MORE YEARS....SURE......WHY NOT)

Other F-35 flaws cited by Gilmore in his report:

– A fuel system deficiency on all three models of the plane that limits their maneuverability when carrying a full load of gas.

(THE MOST SOPHISTICATED COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN PROGRAMS IN THE WORLD AND THEY STILL DIDN'T KNOW THAT WHEN YOU FILL THE GAS TANK THE PLANE WOULD FLY DIFFERENTLY.........OH WELL THIS IS NOT HARD TO OVERCOME.....JUST FILL THE TANK 1/4.  MOST DOG FIGHTS WON'T LAST THAT LONG ANYWAY BEFORE THE F-35 IS BLOWN OUT OF THE SKY.  SO DON'T WASTE THE FUEL.....TAXPAYERS PAY FOR FUEL.....LETS SAVE THE TAXPAYERS SOME MONEY.)

– A diagnostic system, called “ALIS,” that continues “to demonstrate poor accuracy and a high false alarm rate.”

(POOR ACCURACY IS TO BE EXPECT ON THE MOST EXPENSIVE WEAPONS PROGRAM IN HISTORY.  HEY YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.)

– Cracks in wing spars discovered in October on the Navy version of the F-35 and “damage to a significant number of fasteners and grommets” found during testing of the Marine Corps model.

(CRACKS AND DAMAGE IS TO BE EXPECT ON THE MOST EXPENSIVE WEAPONS PROGRAM IN HISTORY.  HEY YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.)

– A lack of high-fidelity simulators to rehearse combat missions and specialized data for each major geographic area that pilots will use to test sensors and track enemy radar.

(YES SIMULATORS WILL BE VERY IMPORTANT......THEY WILL NEED TO PRACTICE ALL THE WAYS THEY WILL BE GETTING BLOWN OUT OF THE SKY.)

– A pilot escape system that could kill ejecting pilots who weigh 136 pounds or less by breaking their necks.

(PILOTS WILL HAVE A DECISION TO MAKE ONCE THEY ARE SPIRALING TOWARDS THE EARTH....DO THEY PULL THE EJECTION HANDLE AND SNAP THEIR NECK?  OR DO THEY JUST STAY WITH THE PLANE AND HOPE THE CRASH ISN'T TOO TERRIBLE.  FROM WHAT I HAVE READ ABOUT THE HORRIBLE EJECTION SEAT I WOULD RECOMMEND JUST STAYING WITH THE PLANE.)

– F-35s were available 51 percent of the time required for training and flight tests in 2015, an increase from 37 percent in 2013.

(WOW..... 49% OF THE TIME THE F-35 WAS NOT READY ........ AND THAT IS A HUGE IMPROVEMENT......I GUESS YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR....OR NOT)
