Flag On The Moon.....

When we landed on the moon one of the first things the astronauts did was put up the American Flag.

This was the first time in history humans left Earth.

This was the first time in history humans landed on another place.

It was dangerous. It was complicated. There was zero room for error. And we did it successfully.

It was an amazing accomplishment that had never been done before, and has never been done (by anyone else) since.

That flag was an important part of that accomplishment. It let everyone know this was done by Americans. Proud, Patriotic, Americans.

This was the height of the Cold War and we were competing against the soviets. It was a space race and America won.

That flag is still on the surface of the moon right now. In 10,000 years it will still be there.
