Corn Industries Settles Out of Court.....

When people started figuring out that High Fructose Corn Syrup was making everyone fat people began avoiding it.
Soda sales plummeted and food products actually started advertising that their ingredients did NOT contain High Fructose Corn Syrup.
It was more important to advertise what wasn’t in a product than what was.
The corn industry freaked out and wanted to change the name of High Fructose Corn Syrup to “Corn Sugar”. In the business world that is called deception.
You were to believe you were not eating High Fructose Corn Syrup….. you were actually eating a sugar made from corn. You were supposed to believe that was a different product. A natural product. A healthy product.
Unfortunately for the corn industry the FDA said you cannot do that. You cannot call something a sugar that is not actually a sugar. You cannot say something is nature when it is manmade and found nowhere in nature.
So the corn industry launched a giant marketing campaign (instead) to further attempt to deceive you about their product. They stated High Fructose Corn Syrup was the same as Sugar.
The Sugar industry was not pleased with this marketing deception and sued the corn industry for over 1 Billion dollars.
The court case started a few weeks back.
Instead of having a jury state that High Fructose Corn Syrup is NOT the same as Sugar (which would have been devastating) the Corn industry settled the lawsuit out of court and behind your back.
You are not allowed to know what the settlement is but you can be sure it had lots of zeros.
Now you go and enjoy a Coke. Please don’t read the ingredients. The less you know the better.
