9/11 Pentagon Flag....

It was Sept 12, 2001.

The Pentagon was smoldering. People were still missing. The country was on edge.

The president was coming to view the damage.

In the turmoil The Pentagon went looking for the largest American flag they could find. It was a garrison flag at a nearby army base.

Soldier made their way to the damaged Pentagon roof and unfurled it down the side of the building as the president arrived.

That flag remained on the building for months giving comfort and pride.

It then went to the Smithsonian. It is now in a military museum..... an important part of US history.
