USS Gerald Ford....Ready to go.....But not really.....

Well it is official. The USS Gerald Ford is now part of the US NAVY.
Billions and Billions of dollars over budget and years and years and years behind schedule but that is no reason not to have a big party with lots of back slapping and saluting.
When the party is over though you should know the ship still isn't ready to do anything at all. Oh and it won't be ready for many.... many.... many..... more years.
"Even now, it will require an additional four years of trials before deployment, costing $780 million more, according to a Government Accountability Office report."
Four more years of trials....... Why?
Put a plane on the deck and launch it. If it flies then the ship is ready. If the plane ends up in the water (in front of the boat) then the ship is not ready.
You don't need 4 MORE years. You could test that sh*t in about 15 minutes. It either works or it doesn't. The four years tells you that the sh*t still don't work and won't be working anytime soon.
But don't worry because they will keep working on it and send you the bill when it is completed. Check back in four more years.
