New Meadowlands Stadium

http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/giants/2010/12/29/2010-12-29_new_meadowlands_stadium_isnt_winning_fans_over_so_far_with_expensive_prices_and_.html

When they built the new stadium and extorted fans for thousands and thousands in PSL's they said it was all for the fans. The fans demanded a better experience.

Some fans were dumb enough to pay the outrageous PSL's.

Now the first season is almost complete and are those fans totally psyched with their investment?

Nope!

Obama Screws State of CT

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2010-12-30/uconn-health-center-loses-out-on-100-million.html

Dodd puts 100 Million Dollars in a spending bill for the Uconn Medical Center. Obama takes the money and gives it to Ohio instead. F*ck CT.

Ohio is an important state in the upcoming presidential elections. CT votes democratic no matter how poorly Obama treats the state.

Dodd is retiring so Obama owes him nothing. Lieberman endorsed John McCain (in 08) so Obama could care less about screwing him.

So Obama sends the money where it will hopefully help him in two years. Kick CT in the azz. In the end they will still vote for Obama.

Not even a concern.

US Criticizing Pakistan over Human Rights.

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/12/30/world/asia/30disappear.html

"The concern is over a steady stream of accounts from human rights groups that Pakistan’s security services have rounded up thousands of people over the past decade, mainly in Baluchistan, a vast and restive province far from the fight with the Taliban, and are holding them incommunicado without charges."

How is this different from what the United States is doing at Gitmo? Round people up. Fly them half way around the world. Don't give them a lawyer. Don't charge them with a crime. Don't give them a day in court. Leave them there forever.

When the United States does it there is no issue. If Pakistan does it we have a problem.

Oil at it again....

Oil supplies are up….
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2010-12-29/u-s-oil-supplies-rose-3-06-million-barrels-last-week-api-report-shows.html

Yet prices are skyrocketing. Prices are up 20 cents in a month and up 40 cents on the year. A barrel of oil is selling at $91.00 a barrel. It was $70.00 a few months back.

You didn’t think BP was going to pay for that oil spill did you? No, no, no it is you who is going to pay. They spill it and you pay for it.

NYC Snow Issues....

http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/story?section=news/politics&id=7796039

In November Bloomberg cut the budget eliminating thousands of jobs. Yayyyyy...........

That included -

"Department of Sanitation:
Eliminate 200 supervisor posts and redeploy to frontline sanitation worker positions."

Today nobody is cleaning up the snow days after the blizzard. Everyone is pissed off.

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20026740-503544.html

It is easy to say cut the budget. It is easy to say shrink the government. Just cut, cut, cut ,cut cut. Sounds like good stuff until you can't drive across the city. Sounds like good stuff until you call 911 and nobody shows up for 6 hours.

Then everyone wants to know why. Why is easy. You laid off thousands of workers. That is why.

Police Deaths up 37%‏

6 months ago the Supreme Court overruled all gun bans.

The results - Lots of dead cops.
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2010-12-28/police-fatalities-jump-37-percent-in-2010.html

According to the NRA guns make people safer. Hard to understand why police fatalities would be up 37% Maybe the NRA is full of sh*t.

Quality of the Global Workforce - See Dreamliner‏

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/businesstechnology/2013713745_dreamliner19.html

"A top Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) official 10 days ago warned Boeing that without further proof of the plane's reliability, it won't be certified to fly the long intercontinental routes"

on the production side, one veteran employee on the 787 said he's witnessing "the perfect storm of manufacturing hell." (He meant Outsourcing hell).
To deliver the 20 Dreamliners built since the six flight-test planes, mechanics will have to complete more than 100,000 tasks. (Outsourcing streamlining the process)

the amount of stuff we are finding is horrible.

Boeing's cost overruns at a staggering $12 billion or more.

The company aimed to reduce the cost and risk by outsourcing an unprecedented share of manufacturing and design work to partners around the globe. (How is that working out for you?)

Horizontal tails poorly built by Alenia in Italy are still being reworked. With the workmanship on the tails varying from one plane to the next, mechanics have to painstakingly customize the fixes plane by plane. (Idiots!!!!!)

Where are the Jobs?

"Harvard Business School Dean Nitin Nohria worries that the trend could be dangerous." Gee you think????? Thank God we have the geniuses at Harvard to figure this stuff out.

Other economists, like Columbia University's Sachs, say multinational corporations have no choice, especially now that the quality of the global work force has improved. Ask Boeing about the quality of the global workforce. They will tell you all about it. That quality is costing them 12 BILLION Dollars and counting. Jackazzes.

The Rich Get Even Richer.....

http://money.cnn.com/2010/12/23/pf/rich_wealth_gap/index.htm?hpt=T2

The rich get richer and richer and richer and richer……

That is why it was so critical for Obama to give the rich all their tax cuts. Heaven forbid those rich A-holes have to pay any taxes. Not when they can put it all in their pockets.

Don’t worry they won’t suffer when Social Security is cut. Or when Medicare is cut. Or when Medicaid is cut. Or when the States go broke. Won’t be their issue.

According to the Republicans (and now Democrats) it is the rich who create all the jobs.

OK….So where are all the jobs? Clearly the rich have plenty of money. More then ever before.

Still unemployment is 9.8%. When is Barack going to explain this phenomenon? He has fallen all over himself to make sure the status quo is maintained. Even though the status quo is failure.
Well Merry Christmas to all you poor bastards. Too bad you can’t afford to buy any representation in Washington. Suckers!

Huckabee Is A Fool

http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/europe/12/22/wikileaks.assange/index.html?hpt=T2

Huckabee went as far as to say that "I think anything less than execution is too kind a penalty."

Yes Mr. Huckabee is all about free and open government except when you make it free and open. Then whoever says anything should be executed. Just like in Communist China.

That is humerous considering Huckabee is the same guy who pardoned a criminal serving 95 years in prision. The guy then turned around and murdered 4 innocent police officers who were sitting drinking coffee in a Starbucks. That animal gets a second chance from kind understanding Huckabee. Assange who lets you know things aren’t going well in Afganistan (wow shocking revelation) needs to be executed.

Tax Cuts for the Rich signed sealed and delivered.‏

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/12/16/AR2010121606672.html?wprss=rss_print

Oh look after all the charades. And all the Theatrics. And all the grandstanding about how Democrats were all against the Bush Tax Cuts (Wink wink).

After all the stomping of the feet and the holding of the breath and the temper tantrums. In the end the Democrats agree the top 1% should get their tax cuts no matter what. To heck with the deficit.

After 9 years of Democrats pointing the finger at George Bush because his tax cuts ruined the economy and exploded the deficit. They can now all shut the f*ck up. They are all now equally responsible for the continued decline of our economy. Bush is now officially off the hook. Enjoy your retirement George it is now Obama's fault. The Obama Tax cuts for the Rich.

Another CEO summit‏

http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20101214/BIZ/12150351/1076/BIZ/Obama-to-seek-advice-of-execs

Everyone acts like Obama's meeting with a who's who of corporate CEO's is some new thing. Obama meets with these same CEO's every other week. He just went to India with most of them. He has had them over the White House for the India state dinner. He had the same business summit last year which created zero jobs. This is what he does. Everyone is acting like corporate America doesn't like Obama. That is nonsense. Corporate America loves Obama. It is a giant love fest. Obama loves them. They finance him. All the jobs continue heading overseas. It is the way it works.

Bomb House

http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE6B85N120101210

The most interesting part of this story is the guy responsible is a 54 year old unemployed Software Engineer.

What company did he work for? Most software engineers don't fill their homes with explosives.

Then again unemployed software engineers who can't find a job, who can't pay their bills. Who see there are no jobs this side of Bangalore might be more desperate.

I bet when he was employed he didn't have a house full of explosives. So while in England they take to the streets (openly displaying anger) you have to wonder how many desperate unemployed people in this country are getting ready to snap.

Angry British

http://www.aolnews.com/world/article/will-heads-roll-over-protesters-attack-on-prince-charles-car/19755044

British attacking the royals. Why are the British mad.... because the government is cutting everything and raising fees on everything. In this case it is University Tuition and Students are pissed.

The British have done the same idiotic things the US has done.

They also outsourced everything to India and China as we do giving up millions of jobs.

http://www.financialexpress.com/news/outsourcing-to-india-raises-uk-storm/595988/

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/politics/article6731114.ece

http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2010/dec/09/uk-trade-gap-widens

The results for England is the same as in the US.

No jobs = No taxes = Gov deficit = failed economy.

The difference is the English get pissed and make their feelings known. The US we just take it like a punching bag.

Rolaids Recall

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/12/10/business/10recall.html?partner=rss&emc=rss

Another week and another Johnson and Johnson product recall. Nobody should be surprised at this point. They are pretty much a monthly occurrence.

This time it is "reports of consumers finding metal and wood particles in the products."

I must have missed the clinical study where metal and wood particles help heartburn. How is it even possible that metal and wood could get into Rolaids.

"The foreign particles found in the Rolaids were potentially introduced during production at a third-party manufacturer" (China)

"McNeil declined to identify the manufacturer." Of course they did. The last thing they are going to tell you is the active ingredients come from Communist Red China. But you can be sure they do.

It is funny that J&J is under all this scrutiny for over a year of recalls and yet products are still leaving the company contaminated. Only when consumers point it out is anything done. Where is the FDA?

The way things have gone people can be sure If J&J makes it it is probably contaminated.

Hope all their saving from outsourcing makes up for the pounding their once proud reputation is taking.

Yes it is another outsourcing success story to be studied in business schools for years to come.

Public Option all over again.

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20024891-503544.html?tag=stack

Obama says "this is the public option debate all over again,"

Obama comparing his latest flip flop of taxes to his previous flip flop on a public option in health care. What a smart political strategy. Remind everyone of the last time you lied.

You remember the public option that Obama promised everyone over and over again.

When others say no you can't Obama says "Yes we can". "Hope" and "change". "It is a new day".

So everyone got on board but when it was time to deliver Obama said Sorry a public option is too expensive.

870 Billion over 10 years was just too much money.
http://articles.cnn.com/2009-10-21/politics/health.care.cbo_1_public-option-cbo-house-democrats?_s=PM:POLITICS
But today when Obama agrees to give the richest 1% their tax cuts at a cost of 900 Billion over two years. Some how that is not too expensive at all. Just tack it onto the National debt and our kids can pay for it later.

After all it is the top 1% that create all the jobs. Give Steve Ballmer a tax cut and he will be sure to hire more people in India.

Then in 6 months we can all discuss why the unemployment rate isn't coming down. Why the National Debt keeps going up.

I am sure the nations top economists will be working on the mystery.

Obama now less popular then Bush‏

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20024865-503544.html

When you follow all the same policies it stands to reason you would end up in the same place.

Unpopular.

Obama - The Greatest Republican ever.

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/12/08/us/politics/08cong.html

"The package would cost about $900 billion over the next two years, to be financed entirely by adding to the national debt."

A week ago Obama was freezing federal workers wages because he was sooooo concerned about the deficit. A week ago Republicans refused to extend unemployment insurance because they were sooooo concerned about the deficit.

Today that is all out the window. Today both Republicans and Obama (who is a Republican) are getting ready to start the printing presses to ensure the top 1% get all their tax cuts. Not just the Bush cuts but new cuts as well. Estate tax breaks for the first 5 Million dollars of an estate. You know.... to help the middle class. This is all being done to help the middle class. Thanks Mr Obama. It is good to know my 5 million dollar estate will be protected.

http://www.csmonitor.com/Business/Tax-VOX/2010/1207/Estate-tax-deal-worst-part-of-a-bad-tax-compromise

"The real gift here is the proposal to let the richest of the rich pass on estates to their heirs at an even lower rate than in 2009. Obama now gets to explain to GS-3 federal clerks why they get to take one for the team while those estates of up to $10 million pay no tax and estates of $100 million pass on nearly $70 million free and clear."

Yes at the end of the day no matter what it takes........ No matter how much it costs the rich will always be well cared for.

We have the best government the rich can buy.

Boeing's Maddening Insanity....

http://www.talkingtarmac.com/techno/tcs-boeing.asp
2006 Boeing outsourced software development to India for the Dreamliner. They do this to entice Air India to buy Boeing planes.

http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2010-12-04/business/ct-biz-1205-787-delay-20101204_1_dreamliner-teal-group-richard-aboulafia/3

2010 The Dreamliner has a fire and software maybe a big issue. (Software developed in India).

"Analysts are troubled that the fire triggered an apparent software malfunction that also caused the 787's unaffected power systems to shut down.

"Analysts are trying to determine whether other software systems also failed to perform as designed during the incident"

http://www.domain-b.com/aero/aero_general/20101206_package.html

So now because of never ending delays (which are partially caused by outsourcing to India) India is demanding Boeing pay 840 Million dollars in penalties for non delivery.

So India f*cked up the software and demand Boeing pay as a result of their incompetence.

Am I the only one who sees this as insanity?

The Real American Made Cars....

Pratt and Whitney Employees are dumb.....

http://abcnews.go.com/Business/wireStory?id=12318449&page=1

6 months ago the Pratt employees went to court to save the Cheshire and East Hartford facilities and they won. Today they agree to close the plants anyway and walk the gang plank. What was the point of suing if they are just going to cave.

So the plant will be closed and the work will be sent to Singapore and Japan. What a big win for the employees. Some short sighted employees will grab 20 grand thinking they are the big winners. Since there are only 3 companies worldwide that build jet engines. And none of them want to hire Americans. The employees are going to quickly learn the reality as they grab the Hartford Courant want ads and try to find the ads seeking Jet Engine mechanics. Quickly they will realize their working days are over.

Congrats you are the big winners. Idiots!

Uconn makes a couple of phone calls to a kid who never plays a minute for the program and they are investigated for a year and a half. Coaches are fired. Scholarships are eliminated. It is a federal case.

Newton's father was pimping his son for hundreds of thousands of dollars and the NCAA looks the other way and starts humming.

USC was raked over the coals. Reggie Bush had to give up his Heismann years later.

This kid is off scott free.

Hypocrisy never dies

The Federal Reserve pumped trillions of dollars into all manner of banks, investment firms and major companies during the financial crisis

The data show that major banks were heavily dependent on the Fed programs for funding during the darkest days of the financial crisis

programs to support the market for corporate lending known as commercial paper benefited not only top U.S. financial institutions such as Bank of America and Citigroup, but also was used by iconic American companies such as General Electric (Who is currently investing in China)and Harley-Davidson. (Who is currently building a plant in India).

I want to read the study of how many jobs would have been saved if GM didn't move lots of their plants to Mexico and China in the first place.

I will be anxiously awaiting those findings.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20101201/sc_afp/usmilitaryweaponsafghanistan " The gun's stats are formidable: it fires 25mm air-bursting shells up to 2,300 feet (700 meters), well past the range of most rifles used by today's soldiers, and programs them to explode at a precise distance, allowing troops to neutralize insurgents hiding behind walls, rocks or trenches or inside buildings"

"an enemy combatant pops up from behind a wall to fire at US troops and then ducks behind it, an XM25 gunner can aim the laser range finder at the top of the wall, then program the shell to detonate one meter beyond it, showering lethal fragmentation where the insurgent is seeking cover."

Extended Unemployment Benefits ending‏

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/40447966/ns/politics-more_politics/

"Congressional opponents of extending the benefits beyond this month say fiscal responsibility should come first. Republicans in the House and Senate, along with a handful of conservative Democrats, say they're open to extending benefits, but not if it means adding to the $13.8 trillion national debt.

But extending tax cuts for the rich does not need to be paid for. If giving rich people their tax cuts increase the deficit that is just fine.

If not extending unemployment insurance means middle class families end up in the homeless shelter that is OK with Republicans.
"We're going to have to have a new conversation with the people who are still suffering, about the potentially drastic changes they're going to have to make to stay out of the homeless shelter,"
http://thehill.com/homenews/senate/131101-mcconnell-blasts-dems-for-playing-politics-with-taxes-ahead-of-white-house-meeting-
But when it comes to extending tax cuts to the rich the Republicans will do what needs to be done. It is all about priorities. Rich people and business comes first. Everyone else can get in line at the soup kitchen.
