Guns At The GOP Convention....Of Course

Why would the Republicans schedule their convention where you can't have guns?
What could be safer than 20,000 crazy Republicans all in one room armed to teeth with guns. That would be the safest place you could possibly be in and yet they need a petition to make it a reality? Maybe the Republicans don't really want 20,000 armed crazies after all. Maybe they are just a bunch of talkers.
I say lock and load baby. Lets make this happen. 2nd Amendment for life. There is nothing I would like better than to watch the armed Ted Cruz crazies square off against the armed Donald Trump crazies on live TV. That would be must see TV. I will make a big bucket of popcorn and watch every moment of that spectacle. Can't wait. Natural Selection on live TV. Awesome!
Of course when there are no guns allowed (because of security concerns) you will all have your confirmation that the Republicans are full of it.

Republicans Scared About Their Decision To Sell Out To Communist Red China......

Selling out the United States to Communist Red China was a really bad idea.
The Republicans and Bill Clinton did just that 15 years ago .
It is not like everyone didn't know what the results were going to be. It was obvious. I have said it over and over and over and over.....
Anyone with a first grade education could predict what the results would be.
Having high priced American workers competing against slave laborer (IN CHINA) would end badly for Americans. And it has.
Now that the results are proven the voters are revolting...... the Republicans don't know how to stop it.
They should have paid attention 15 years ago. I said it then (and I say it all the time) and I will continue to say it into the future.
I have said it probably 25,000 times over the years...but nobody cared.
If everyone doesn't like the angry voters than maybe next time they should do a better job listening.
The Republican establishment began losing its party to Donald Trump on May 24, 2000, at 5:41 p.m., on the floor of the House of Representatives.
Urged on by their presidential standard-bearer, Texas Gov. George W. Bush, and by nearly all of the business lobbyists who represented the core of the party’s donor class, three-quarters of House Republicans voted to extend the status of permanent normal trade relations to China.
They were more than enough, when added to a minority of Democrats, to secure passage of a bill that would sail through the Senate and be signed into law by President Bill Clinton.
The legislation, a top Republican priority, held the promise of greater economic prosperity for Americans.
(LIARS)
But few could predict that it would cause a series of economic and political earthquakes that has helped put the GOP in the difficult spot it is in today:
(FEW COULD PREDICT????????.....EXCEPT ANDREW....ANDREW PREDICTED IT. ....ANDREW HAS SAID IT OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER........ANDREW MUST BE SOME KIND OF SUPER GENIUS. HIS BRAIN WILL BE STUDIED FOR YEARS TO COME. SOMEHOW ANDREW KNEW WHAT NOBODY ELSE COULD POSSIBLY KNOW. HE REALLY IS AMAZING)
with the most anti-trade Republican candidate in modern history, Trump, moving closer to clinching the party’s nomination.
(OOPS....SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO ANDREW. NOW WE ARE REALLY SCREWED.)
“I try not to regret things,” said Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.), a Trump supporter who was one of 83 senators to vote for the China bill. “That’s one I regret.”
(JEFF SESSIONS SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO ANDREW. JEFF IS A MORON.)
“The Republican electorate has gone along with their leaders, begrudgingly, for 20 or 30 years,” Sessions said. “I supported all these trade agreements . . . but it’s becoming clear that the promises that were made weren’t true.”
(NO SH*T......THE PROMISES WEREN'T TRUE......YOU DON'T SAY. IF ONLY SOMEONE COULD HAVE PREDICTED THIS......OH WAIT.....)
The 2000 vote effectively unleashed a flood of outsourcing to China, which in turn exported trillions of dollars of cheap goods back to the United States.
(I AM SHOCKED.....)
Over the next 10 years, economists have concluded, the expanded trade with China cost the United States at least 2 million jobs. It was the strongest force in an overall manufacturing decline that cost 5 million jobs. Those workers were typically men whose education stopped after high school, a group that has seen its wages fall by 15 percent after adjusting for inflation.
(ECONOMISTS ARE GREAT AT RUNNING IN AFTER THE CRIME AND PUTTING UP THE CRIME SCENE TAPE AND TAKING PICTURES OF THE DEAD BODY. THEY SUCK AT PREDICTING THE BLATANTLY OBVIOUS CRIME IS ABOUT TO OCCUR.......)
U.S. imports from China skyrocketed after Congress voted to expand trade relations in 2000.
(YOU DON'T SAY.......)
For blue-collar workers, the economic and political effects of permanent normal trade relations with China have swamped the effects of any other trade decision in the past 25 years.
(GRAB YOUR PITCH FORK)
Trump, who has won important victories in states such as Michigan, Illinois, North Carolina and South Carolina that have been buffeted by the new trade, has built his insurgent campaign in part on opposition to what he calls a bad deal with China. “It is a typical example,” he proclaims on his website, “of how politicians in Washington have failed our country.”
(FAILED IS EXACTLY WHAT THEY DID.......FAILED BADLY.)
“I think we’re getting screwed by trade,” said Mike Singer, 54, of Chicago. “We’re losing a lot of jobs.”
(YES WE ARE)
In 2000, China was on course for membership to the WTO, a status effectively giving its exporters access to markets in the United States and around the world. Under WTO rules, member countries are required to extend preferential trading treatment to one another, or what the United States had begun to call permanent normal trade relations. For China, that required an act of Congress.
Business leaders stood nearly united in their support of the bill, arguing that the vote would serve only to open China’s markets to U.S. exports.
(LIARS)
They were joined in that argument by a pair of prominent Texas Republicans: Rep. Bill Archer, the chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee who sponsored the bill; and Bush, who by then had locked up the party’s presidential nomination.
A week before the House vote, Bush urged Republicans to approve the bill on freedom and foreign-policy grounds, and also on economic ones. “Trade with China,” he said, “serves the economic interests of America.”
(IT SERVES THE INTEREST OF CORPORATIONS......WORKERS GET THE SHAFT. NOBODY GETS FREEDOM. CHINA IS STILL A COMMUNIST DICTATORSHIP. NOTHING HAS CHANGED EXCEPT NOW CHINA IS A LOT RICHER...... WHICH HELPS THE COMMUNISTS HOLD ONTO POWER. NICE JOB REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS....WAY TO GO......)
Business groups that lobbied the bill recall that the closing argument was not hard to sell. The bill passed the House by a vote of 237 to 197. The Senate approved it 83 to 15 in September.
(EVERYONE AGREED UNEMPLOYED AMERICANS IS A GREAT THING.)
In many ways, the vote worked out much better for the GOP’s donor class than for the working-class voters now flocking to Trump.
(WHO COULD HAVE PREDICTED.....)
By 2004, U.S. imports from China had nearly doubled. By 2011, the U.S. trade deficit with China had quadrupled.
The ripple effects of those job losses have persisted, for workers, in ways that surprised many economists.
(SURPRISED ECONOMISTS.....THEY JUST CAN'T BELIEVE IT. JUST SITTING AROUND SCRATCHING THEIR HEADS.........AMAZING......)
Standard economists predicted no net job losses from expanded trade with China
(ECONOMISTS ARE F*CKIN IDIOTS. THE DUMBESTS GROUP OF PEOPLE YOU WILL EVER MEET.)
In reality, the authors found, new jobs have not materialized quickly, as expected, to replace the jobs lost from trade.
(THERE ARE JUST JOBS. THE JOBS ARE EITHER IN THE UNITED STATES OR THEY ARE IN COMMUNIST RED CHINA. IF THEY LEAVE HERE THEN THEY ARE GONE. NEW JOBS DO NOT MAGICALLY APPEAR. IF THEY DO MAGICALLY APPEAR THEY ALSO APPEAR IN CHINA.)
It took Trump, a longtime critic of trade agreements, to rally conservative voters around the idea that the Chinese are ripping off the working class via bad trade deals.
(US CORPORATIONS ARE THE REAL ENEMY, THEY ARE THE ENEMY THAT NOBODY (EXCEPT ME) TALKS ABOUT. CORPORATE AMERICA IS PUBLIC ENEMY #1 OF US WORKERS.)
Others lament their party did too little to help the workers whose factory jobs were swept away.
(WHEN THEY SAY DID "LITTLE" THEY MEAN THEY DID NOTHING. THE REPUBLICAN PARTY DOES NOT GIVE A SH*T ABOUT US WORKERS. NEVER HAS AND NEVER WILL. FOR THAT MATTER DEMOCRATS DON'T CARE EITHER.)
Workers who lost jobs when companies outsourced production to China were left “on an island, economically and politically,” said Bruce Haynes, a Republican consultant who is president of the political consulting firm Purple Strategies. “There’s an acknowledgment that this is upon the party. We know we need to do something about it, but we can’t do anything about it right now, because we’re in the middle of a hurricane.”
(YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT BECAUSE CORPORATE DONORS WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.)
“The Republicans are still a way, way, way more the pro-free-trade party,” said Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), a longtime trade critic who says the fracture that began with the China vote could end up splitting the GOP much like civil rights split Democrats in 1968.

Obama Tough On Human Rights....Sometimes.....

When it is Communist Cuba President Obama is a tough guy on Human rights. Human rights are important and his voice will be heard.
BUT......
When it is Communist Red China Obama has very little to say about human rights. Better to just shut up and be quiet. No sense in rocking the boat. Communist Red China was treated to a State Dinner (twice) with all the pomp and circumstance. A 21 gun salute on the south lawn of the white house to celebrate all the human rights abuses.

See Corporate American has a ton invested in Communist Red China.
Who would make all the crap at Walmart if Communist Red China got upset? If you have to choose between corporate profits or human rights..... well that is not even a decision. At least not for President Obama.
Everyone knows who is winning the battle. The results can be found on any store shelve at any store in North America.
BUT......
Communist Cuba has no connection to corporate American. Corporate America does not exploit slave labor in Cuba...... so it is easy for Obama to go there and get a few good sound bites in. There is no price to pay when he does it. Cuba's military is a joke. China's military is the real deal. Piss off Cuba and nothing happens. Piss off China and there could be a war.
Leadership is about picking the easy battles and pretending you are standing on principle. If it is difficult it is better to just avoid the issue entirely because there is too much money at stake.

Mark Zuckerberg Enjoying the Propaganda of Communist Red China.....

After Zuckerberg was finished pretending to enjoy the filthy disgusting air of Communist Red China he headed over to speak with the Communist Propaganda Chief.
Every great Democracy has a propaganda chief. You can't have free and open society without just the right amount of government propaganda.
Mark needs to convince the Communists that he can censor Facebook.
What you won't see ( or hear about) is Mark going to Tienamin square and holding a speech demanding freedom. You won't hear him calling for Humana rights, or free and fair elections. He won't be calling for releasing political prisioners, or improved consumer safety.
Mark Zuckerberg doesn't give a sh*t about any of those things. The only thing Mark Zuckerberg cares about is getting more eyeballs looking at Facebook. The more eyeballs = the more money going into Marks bank accounts. It is the most important thing.
Facebook C.E.O. Mark Zuckerberg has had a busy week in China.
he courted China’s top propaganda official in what Chinese media called a“rare meeting” with Communist Party propaganda chief Liu Yunshan in Beijing on Saturday.
Despite China stepping up its Internet censorship—Liu recently warned Chinese Internet users against crossing the “baseline” when discussing politics online, and the country has called for a global “governance system” for the Internet, which activists warn could smother free speech
In their meeting, Liu commended Zuckerberg for his “cooperative” attitude with Chinese regulations and “hopes [Facebook] can strengthen exchanges, share experiences and improve mutual understanding with China's Internet companies,”
The Chinese government has restricted Internet access across social-media platforms over its concerns about commentary critical of the government, especially on political anniversaries.
China’s Internet is heavily censored by what is known as the “Great Firewall,” but Zuckerberg has been making strides to appeal to the country.
Given China's regulatory restrictions on the Internet, Facebook would probably have to submit itself to some form of censorship if it goes live in the country.

Mark Zuckerberg Enjoying The Fresh Air Of Communist Red China.....

Mark Zuckerberg wants to get Facebook into Communist Red China.
It is not easy thing to do......Allowing people to express their opinions on the internet is frowned upon by the Communists.
To sway their opinions Mark is doing his best to kiss some Communist ass. No better way to do that then risk your life running through the filthy disgusting air of Tienanmen square. No better location for a photo op then the place where Democracy went to die.
He could have put on a face mask but that wouldn't have impressed the Communist bosses. Not wearing a mask makes the Communists smile every time. Good boy Mark......Good boy........ Breath in deep.....and Hold it. Now you are playing the Communist game.......
Mark Zuckerberg, announced his arrival in Beijing with a blithe message about what must have been a dizzying jog through the center of China’s capital, which has been suffering from a weeklong bout of hazardous air pollution.
Mr. Zuckerberg smiles alongside several running companions in front of the famous portrait of Mao Zedong that overlooks Tiananmen Square.
At 9 a.m. an air-quality monitor at the United States Embassy in Beijing calculated the level of PM2.5, ultrafine particles that damage respiration, at 305 micrograms per cubic meter. That level is deemed “hazardous” under American air-quality standards.
Mr. Zuckerberg inadvertently stirred an online debate about China’s major air pollution problems.
One user, Christina Tan, sought to warn Mr. Zuckerberg: “Mark, don’t u see the air pollution? Stop running outside! Beijing is my home, but I’m not recommending you run outside.”
Although some noted he should have worn a face mask, others joked about his ability to access Facebook despite the Chinese government’s cracking down on ways to get around the so-called Great Firewall, which keeps Chinese users cordoned off from the wider Internet.
Others simply took umbrage with where the photo was staged, at the heart of Tiananmen Square.
“The floor you stepped has been covered by blood from students who fought for democracy. But, enjoy your running in China, Mark. smile emoticon,” wrote a user named Cao Yuzhou.
On Twitter, that sentiment was reflected in an image in which Mr. Zuckerberg had been photoshopped in place of the famous “tank man” in front of a line of tanks from the 1989 military crackdown on the student-led protests in Tiananmen Square.

The Long Slow Death Of The Coal Industry......

The Long Slow Death Of the Coal Industry......

This is good news for Climate Change.  Coal is public enemy #1 in the Climate Change battle.  Coal is one of the biggest emitters of CO2 gas.  Not burning coal helps minimizes the problem.  This is key to reversing climate change.

Once the financing goes away so does the coal.  This is a great thing.

Lets hope it continues.

JPMorgan Chase, announced two weeks ago that it would no longer finance new coal-fired power plants in the United States or other wealthy nations.

The retreat follows similar announcements by Bank of America, Citigroup and Morgan Stanley that they are, in one way or another, backing away from coal.

While coal has been declining over the last several years, Wall Street’s broad retreat is an ominous sign for the industry.

“There are always going to be periods of boom and bust,” said Chiza Vitta, a metals and mining analyst with the credit rating firm Standard & Poor’s. “But what is happening in coal is a downward shift that is permanent.”

On Wednesday the world’s largest private-sector coal company, Peabody Energy, said that it might have to file for bankruptcy protection, following a path already taken by three of the nation’s other large coal companies.

Peabody has been trying to sell three of its mines in Colorado and New Mexico to raise cash. But the sale to Bowie Resource Partners appears to have stalled amid the difficult financing environment.

Some banks say they are trying to do their part to curtail climate change by moving away from coal projects and financing ventures that produce less carbon.

But bankers also say there is a more basic reason for the shift: Lending to coal companies is too risky and could ultimately prove unprofitable.

Coal companies are being squeezed by competition from less expensive energy sources like natural gas and by stiffer regulations — pressures that show no signs of letting up.

As a result, even the most secure loans — like those made to companies emerging from bankruptcy, known as debtor-in-possession loans — are increasingly off limits for many banks, according to bankers and industry lawyers.

And it is not just big banks. Even many more daring investors like hedge funds and private equity firms, which are usually eager to pounce on industries in distress, are shying away from coal because of deep uncertainty about its future.

Environmental groups, meanwhile, are hoping the banks’ reluctance will hasten the collapse of coal. Groups like the Rainforest Action Network have been pressuring banks for months to reduce coal lending.

“With much of the world committed to stabilizing the climate, we need the banks to follow quickly with measures to end coal financing altogether,”

US Exporting Oil So You Can Pay More......

President George W Bush said the United States needed to be energy independent.

President Barack Obama also said the United States needed to be energy independent.

For 40 years the United States was not allowed to export US oil out of the country.  It was a national security issue.  You can't be energy independent if you are not keeping your own energy.

After the United States started finding oil all over the place (because of fracking) Saudi Arabia freaked out.  The Saudi response was to flood the market with their cheap oil and drive the US frackers out of business.

Their plan was working great and the price of oil plummeted.  You benefited.

The United States found it could not compete with cheap Saudi oil and the US oil producers were forced to stored their  oil in storage facilities across the United States.  There is currently more oil sitting in US storage than at anytime in the last 80 years.

The more oil sitting in storage forced the price of oil to sink even further.

To solve this oil industry problem President Obama lifted the oil export ban.  On December 31st the United States began exporting its oil.  To heck with energy independence.

You can see the results of this decision at your local gas station.  The price of oil is going up.

As the oil sitting in US Storage is shifted around the world the price will continue to go up.  This is good for US oil producers.  (Like you care) It is also good for President Obama as the US trade deficit will begin to appear better.  Also when Obama leaves office he will go make 6 figure speeches to the oil and gas industry who now loves him.

The only real loser in this whole thing is you.  You will (in the short term) pay more.  The problem you have is nobody cares about you at all.

In the long term the world is still producing way more oil then it needs to produce.  No oil producing countries are willing to cut production and lose market share.  But as long as they can hide the excess oil (in storage facilities around the world) they will try and artificially keep prices high.  Try to contain your enthusiasm.

China Buying Up US Hotels.

Communist Red China buying up all the American Hotels. That is pretty exciting.
You used to only have to worry about Communist China getting into your computer, but now you get to worry about them spying on you in your hotel room too.
Are they watching? Are they not? It will make your stay so relaxing. Good stuff.

Republicans Blaming The Wrong People.....Act Shocked.

Republicans will tell you they want a weak Federal government.
They will tell you they want the states to hold the control. States rights. They will tell you they hate the EPA (Environmental protection agency).
Republicans running for president have called to scrap the EPA entirely.
Republicans in the House of Representatives are trying to slash the EPA budget right now.
Any agency who's mission is to protect the environment is an enemy to all Republicans.
Republicans also hate poor people. They want to cut welfare at every turn. There is nothing more despicable for Republicans then a bunch of poor people. Republicans preach "personal responsibility".
BUT
When the Republican Governor saved money by poisoning the poor people with tainted water (and there was outrage) all the Republicans want to do is blame the EPA. Blame the Federal agency that Republicans don't even want to exist in the first place.
The EPA didn't decide to change the water supply. That was a state decision (Yay states rights) made by the Republican Governor. But Don't blame him though. That guy doesn't need any "personal responsibility". They want to blame the federal government. All the republicans want to blame the EPA .......and NO Republicans want to blame the Republican governor.
The irony is thick here.....As it always is with the silly Republicans.

Icloud Security....

If you don’t have strong security then all your nudie pictures end up with this guy.
Apple was embarrassed by this and it is no coincidence that the same day this guy pleads guilty is also the same day Apple is talking about increasing security for Icloud. They want to make it so nobody can get in.

Republicans protecting Airlines Right To Screw You.....

Democrats wanted to help consumers no longer get gouged by the airlines on baggage fees.
Republicans would have none of it though.
The airlines are currently making RECORD profits. The most profit ever.
But it is not enough. They need more and more and more and more.
Republicans are always ready to help.
Republicans hate consumers. Republicans love corporations. Corporations love taking more of your money and keeping it for themselves. As long as nobody says they can’t take more then they always will. The Republicans will continue to enable them.
baggage and change fees charged passengers grew from $464 million in 2007 to $3.5 billion in 2014.
(BUT it is not enough….They need more. Luckily they know where to get it. Right out of your wallet.)

Chinese Press Conferences....

Press Conferences are easy in Communist Red China.
Don’t ask any difficult questions and it will be all good.
The air outside was a sickly shade of yellow. But there was not a single question about the environment at the Chinese premier's annual, televised news conference Wednesday.
In the two-hour news conference, Li Keqiang took pre-approved questions from foreign and domestic media. Some foreign journalists refused to take part, unwilling to submit questions for vetting, but many others did.
There was, of course, no mention of the detention of scores of lawyers, human rights and labor activists, and of Hong Kong booksellers;
no mention of the growing weight of censorship that has fallen on Chinese journalism and social media.
The Reuters news agency was granted the first question and chose to ask about financial reform and the economy -- but not why its own website remains blocked in China.
Li failed to mention several other touchy subjects, including North Korea's missile tests, soaring property prices in China’s main cities, last year’s stock market turbulence, reform of China’s mammoth state-owned enterprises, ethnic tensions or terrorism.

Trumps Trade Threats.....

By attacking trade agreements, the Republican presidential front-runner is channeling the belief, common among many of this year’s angry voters, that foreign competition is robbing American jobs and shrinking wages.
(IT IS NOT A BELIEF. SANTA CLAUSE IS A BELIEF. THE TOOTH FAIRY IS A BELIEF. FREE TRADE STEALING US JOBS IS A FACT. IT IS LIKE SAYING THE SUN RISING IN THE EAST IS A BELIEF. IT IS NOT. IT IS A FACT.)
“We’re being killed on trade — absolutely destroyed,” Trump says.
(TRUMP IS WRONG ON A LOT OF THINGS……..BUT ON THIS ISSUE HE IS CORRECT)
His assault on trade deals — which in some ways echoes arguments of Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders
(YES…. BERNIE SANDERS IS ALSO CORRECT ON TRADE) —
seems to be winning politics. But Trump’s analysis of how trade hurts American workers is flawed,
(IT IS NOT FLAWED AT ALL. IT IS CORRECT.)
and as president, he would struggle to deliver on his promises.
(TRUE…HE WILL STRUGGLE BECAUSE CONGRESS LOVES KILLING US JOBS TOO.)
The United States does have an unbalanced trade relationship with other nations
(DUHHHH!!!).
Last year, it imported $2.76 trillion in goods and services and exported just $2.22 trillion. That $540 billion gap — the trade deficit — was the seventh-biggest on record. Not since 1975 has the United States run a trade surplus.
(YOU HAVE A BETTER CHANCE OF WALKING OUTSIDE AND SEEING A PTERODACTYL FLY OVER YOUR HOME THEN YOU DO OF SEEING A US TRADE SURPLUS.)
Trump, author of the 1987 best-seller “The Art of the Deal,” argues that American negotiators are snookered by smarter deal-makers in China, Mexico and Japan who manage to penetrate the U.S. market without granting equal access to their own.
(THIS IS PARTIALLY CORRECT. FREE TRADE IS NOT ABOUT BEING ABLE TO SELL PRODUCTS AROUND THE WORLD. FREE TRADE IS ABOUT DRIVING DOWN WAGES. IT IS ABOUT GETTING THE CHEAPEST SLAVE LABORER YOU CAN FIND. SOMEONE WHO HAS ABSOLUTELY NO RIGHTS WHATSOEVER. SOMEONE YOU CAN TREAT LIKE COMPLETE SHIT AND WHO RESIDES IN A COUNTRY WHERE YOU CAN POLLUTE THE ENVIRONMENT WITHOUT ANY RESPONSIBILITY. THAT IS WHERE YOU WANT TO BUILD YOUR PRODUCT. THAT PRODUCT IS THEN SOLD BACK INTO THE UNITED STATES. OTHER COUNTRIES ARE NOT DRIVING FREE TRADE AGREEMENTS. US CORPORATIONS ARE DRIVING THEM. THE ENEMY IS THE US CORPORATIONS NOT THE FOREIGN COUNTRIES.)
Many economists call Trump’s arguments off-base.
(MANY ECONOMISTS ARE WRONG)
Trade deals usually have little overall effect on jobs — positive or negative
(LIAR)—
partly because the American economy is already open to foreign competition.
(IF IT IS ALREADY OPEN….WHAT IS THE POINT OF THE TRADE DEAL?)
Bigger forces such as huge wage gaps between the United States and developing countries (TRUE), and automation that lets companies replace workers, play a much larger role in job losses.
(AUTOMATION DOES PLAY A ROLE. NOT A LARGER ROLE. CHEAP LABOR IS THE BIGGEST ISSUE. THAT IS WHY WE NEED TARRIFS TO EVEN THE PLAYING FIELD AND TAKE AWAY THE INCENTIVE. THIS IS WHAT TRUMP IS SAYING AND HE IS CORRECT.)
Economists at the Peterson Institute think the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a pending deal involving the United States and 11 Pacific Rim countries, would barely affect American employment.
(LIARS)
Jobs created by greater access to Asia-Pacific markets would likely be offset by jobs lost.
(LIAR)
(AN ECONOMIST IS THE ONLY PROFESSION WHERE YOU CAN BE WRONG 100% OF THE TIME AND STILL HAVE A JOB. FREE TRADE AGREEMENTS COST US WORKERS JOBS. ANYONE WHO STATES OTHERWISE IS LYING TO YOU.)
He also said he would demand that United Technologies reverse a decision to move two Indiana plants to Mexico, eliminating 2,100 jobs. If it refused, he said he would impose a tax on anything the company built in Mexico and exported to the United States.
(THAT IS GREAT. TARRIFS ARE THE CORRECT ANSWER. LOTS AND LOTS OF TARIFFS. WHEN THERE IS NO MORE INCENTIVE TO MOVING JOBS THEN THE JOBS WILL STAY. THEN EVERYONE WINS.)
Levying those tariffs would probably require congressional approval. It would violate commitments the United States made when it joined the North American Free Trade Agreement in 1994, and the tariffs would trigger retaliation from Mexico.
(SO? THE USA NEEDS TO DROP OUT OF NAFTA. 6 MONTHS NOTICE AND WE ARE OUT. LET MEXICO RETAILIATE. LET CHINA RETALIATE. WHO CARES. WE DON’T MAKE ANYTHING FOR THEM TO RETAILIATE AGAINST. IT IS AN EMPTY THREAT.)
Regardless, leaving NAFTA would cause chaos for businesses that have arranged their operations around its rules.
(GOOD LET THERE BE CHAOS. THERE WAS CHAOS WHEN THE FACTORIES LEFT THE UNITED STATES AND MILLIONS OF AMERICANS LOST THEIR JOBS. CORPORATIONS DIDN’T CARE THEN AND WE DON’T HAVE TO CARE NOW. NOT EVEN A LITTLE BIT.)
Trump has threatened to hit Chinese imports with a 45 percent tariff.
(GREAT)
If Trump replaced the low tariffs provided by NAFTA and World Trade Organization rules with punitive tariffs on Mexican and Chinese goods, he probably would ignite a trade war
(GOOD)
that would raise prices for Americans
(PRICES WILL NOT CHANGE. THE PRICE IS THE PRICE. PROFIT MARGINS WILL BE CUT. TOO BAD.)
and cause diplomatic havoc. Economists recall that the 1930 Smoot-Hawley legislation,
(SMOOT HOWLEY….EVERYONE LOVES TO TALK ABOUT SMOOT HAWLEY WHEN DISCUSSING TRADE. IT IS NOT 1930 ANYMORE. SMOOT HAWLEY IS IRELEVANT TO ANYTHING HAPPENING IN 2016.)
which raised tariffs on imports, inflamed trade tensions and worsened the Great Depression.
Whatever the merits of Trump’s arguments on trade, they have found an audience. More than half of Democratic and Republicans voters in last week’s Michigan primary (won by Trump and Sanders) told pollsters they felt trade kills jobs.
(AND THEY ARE CORRECT.)

Chicago Subway....Made In China.....

Wait....I am not down yet......We have more success stories to discuss.

Communist Red China is ALSO building the new subway cars in Chicago.  Pretty exciting......

That is right....Obamas stimulus worked so well it created numerous railroad jobs all over Communist Red China.

Makes me want to stand outside and wave a giant American flag.  It is a celebration of all the Communist successes across our great country.  It is a beautiful thing.

God Bless America.......

Boston Subway....Made In China......

Communist Red China is also building the new Subway cars in Boston.

That is right.....When you take your tour of the Freedom Trail you can just hop on the Communist Red China Subway to go see where Paul Revere made his famous ride.

You remember.....When Paul rode through the streets yelling "The Communists are coming....The communists are coming.......

California Rail Made in China.....

Upgrading the US Rail system has been a pet idea of President Obamas since he took office.

In Obamas 2009 Stimulus package $9,000,000,000.00 went to High Speed rail.  Today in 2016 there is little to show for that money.  Don't get me wrong.....You still have to pay it all back....... but you won't be leaving your house (today) and jumping on a bullet train.

But don't get mad because High Speed trains are coming to California and they are being built by Communist Red China.  China gets the money.  China gets the jobs.  America gets to pay for it.  Obama is nowhere to be found to explain the situation.  Just like when Obama said the US will be the new "Green economy" and will be building wind mills and solar panels..... and then all those were made in Communist Red China too.

Obama is the master of stating Americans are going to do things and then watching as China does them instead.

Oreos upsetting the Candidates....About Time.....

Donald Trump is angry that Oreo cookies will soon be made in Mexico. Americans are getting laid off and the work is being moved. Donald is not happy.
Hillary Clinton is also angry that Oreo cookies will be made in Mexico. The same Hillary Clinton who supported NAFTA (SIGNED INTO LAW BY BILL CLINTON) is outraged. Go figure.
Everyone always agrees in an election year that Americans losing jobs is a horrible thing. Right after the election though nobody gives a sh*t anymore.
On Oreos both Donald and Hillary are late to this party. I posted a beat down of Oreos (going to Mexico) back on August 14th. That was 7 months ago. I didn't need to be running for president to do it either.
It is funny how in an election year everyone (Republicans and Democrats) starts sounding just like me. The only difference is I sound like this all the time. And I will sound like this well after the election is over. Not because I want people to vote for me but because I am right.

Indian Tech Workers Exploited By Corporate America......

Foreign Workers Being Exploited By Corporate America…….The kind of behavior Mark Zuckerberg wants to protect.

Labor brokers providing Indian high-tech workers to American companies have hijacked a professional visa program, creating an underground system of financial bondage by stealing wages and benefits, even suing workers who quit.

About 840,000 people from around the world work in the United States on temporary visas, intended to help companies seek uniquely talented employees for specific jobs. In the tech realm, labor brokers often sponsor the visas, then contract out the workers to technology companies or government agencies to build databases, test software and complete other technical projects.

For decades, critics have sounded alarms about immigrant tech workers being treated as indentured servants by the worst of these staffing firms, known as “body shops.”

through humiliation, intimidation and legal threats. Judgments against Indian workers sued for quitting their US jobs can exceed $50,000.

One worker called it an “ecosystem of fear”.

It’s a shadow world that can turn a worker’s dream of self-betterment into a financial nightmare. Shackling workers to their jobs is such an entrenched business practice that it has even spread to US nationals.

This bullying persists at the bottom of a complex system that supplies workers to some of America’s richest and most successful companies, such as Cisco SystemsVerizonand Apple.

“You can pretty much see a leash on my neck with my employer,” said Saravanan Ranganathan, a Washington-area computer security expert here on an H-1B visa. “It’s kind of like a hidden chain … and you’d better shut up, or you’ll lose everything.”

Through thousands of documents filed with government agencies and in courts across the US and interviews with dozens of workers, CIR found the tools of intimidation included restrictive employment contracts – signed by workers unaware of their rights – as well as legal loopholes.

Even immigration experts have trouble sorting out how the brokers manage to game the system.

From 2000 through 2013, at least $29.7m was illegally withheld from about 4,400 tech workers here on H-1B visas, US Department of Labor documents show. And this barely hints at the problem because, in the hidden world of body shops, bad actors rarely are caught.

“You should treat people like human beings,” the 32-year-old said, “not like animals, creatures that you make money off of.”

Virginia attorney Rajiv Khanna, who represents employers and employees in immigration matters, considers the financial shackles “an immoral, unethical and very probably illegal control of the workforce.”

In India, students fresh out of college earn the equivalent of $4,500 to $5,800 a year, according to data from the consulting firm Mercer cited in The Economic Times, an Indian newspaper. In the US, they easily can bring in five times that – or more.  (WOW $29,000…It is like winning the lottery)

And landing a US tech job offers more than money: it can improve an Indian graduate’s social status and marriage prospects, (The chicks will come running) according to Xiang Biao, a University of Oxford anthropologist who spent a year researching the Indian body shop industry.

Contracting with labor brokers also benefits US employers. They can staff up swiftly for temporary jobs and slim down just as fast, with workers paid below-market rates. The brokers, meanwhile, deal with immigration regulations and paperwork and generally are on the hook for claims that H-1B worker protection laws were violated.
